Weizi II. General situation of Wei Zi

The gate of Wei Zi is made of white jade, engraved with four golden characters of Ziyun Zen Forest and two stone lions, standing tall. In the South Building, the Buddha statue of Lingguan seems to laugh and cry, while the Buddha statue of Wei Tuo faces the north. People climb stairs, climb thirteen steps and look at the flat ground. Go through the compound, bypass the tower incense storehouse, climb nine steps, and arrive at the main hall of Ziyun, also known as Sanguan Hall. This temple has three cornices, towering into the sky, and the four corners of each cornice are hung with bronze bells, and the wind is ringing. The top of the roof gourd is made of brass with dazzling golden light. There are three statues of Buddha, Yuan Di, Wudi and Wendi in the temple, commonly known as Three Kingdoms, Sanpin and Sanli, all of which are carved with wood and clay, with gold and silver in their hearts. Their height is impressive and magnificent. There are 12 Buddha statues on both sides, such as Leigong, Dian Mu, Fengpo and Yusi. , is a colorful wood carving clay sculpture. On the east side is the Buddhist chanting hall, which has three entrances, including 18 arhats, 24 days, 60 jiazi and other Buddha statues, as well as islands, Dragon Palace, Shuilian Cave, Thousand Flower Terraces, strange gods and ghosts, or lying or standing; Or happy, or angry, or laughing, or crying, a look at the face, creepy. In the reading room under the Buddhist Scripture Building, the sound of wooden fish chanting is endless.

To the west is Shuiyue Temple, with four halls. Mainly dedicated to Guanyin Buddha. There are autumn pavilions, surrounded by mountains and waters, winding paths leading to secluded places, willows in summer and autumn, cool breeze blowing gently, lotus fragrance curling, frogs bursting, poetic and picturesque, and officials, gentry and businessmen competing to board, which is full of fun. Whenever the sun goes down, the afterglow of the setting sun spreads all over Wei Zi, and the mountains are more magnificent. Zhu Pengshou, a scholar in Qing Dynasty, wrote a poem: weizi Zen Temple has a clear sky and Wan Li, and the town is crowded with people. If the sun sets in the west, the pavilions will be half red. During the Qianlong period, Guo Chong, the magistrate of Xinghua County, also wrote a poem "Ode to Wei Zisong", which said: The pigeons send sails to rest, and the fishing village is full of crabs. After a night of rain and clear spring water, cauliflower spread all over Wei Zi. These poems only describe the natural scenery of Wei Zi, but they don't reflect that Wei Zi is a Buddhist holy place where incense is flourishing. In fact, the Buddhist activities in Wei Zi have long been recorded in the history books: during temple fairs, fasting days, especially the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival in Wei Zi, many good men and women traveled thousands of miles from Shandong in the north and Suzhou and Hangzhou in the south to burn incense and worship Buddha, and horses and chariots came in an endless stream. People who burn incense go into battle shirtless. red trousers wears sandals, wears yellow yuan (paper) on his head, carries a silver hook embroidered with red and green silk thread on his back, holds a red paint stick in his arms, hangs a silver hook on his wrist, and hangs a small incense burner on his body to burn incense step by step. Those who burn incense, bathe and change clothes, hold incense burners, worship in three steps, recite Amitabha, and knock all the way to the front of the temple ... Inside the temple, bells and drums are ringing, the doors are wide open, pilgrims jostle each other, and people from all walks of life flock in. The abbot and monk wore red cassock, and all the monks wore black cassock, went to the altar to chant Buddhist scripture and looked at the sea of people. At the same time, in Liu Zhuang Town, there are many incense shops and traffic, teahouses, restaurants and customers are crowded, and fortune telling, stalls and begging are bustling.

However, during their stay in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the Japanese army/KOOC-0/0/KOOC-0/Division Sato detachment and South Ji Xiang Brigade successively occupied Wei Zi, with numerous bunkers on the mountain and dense iron nets under the mountain. The bustling town of Liu Zhuang was destroyed, and the sacred Wei Zi became a slaughterhouse where the Japanese slaughtered the people of China. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Wei Zi saw the sunshine again, but the Kuomintang reactionaries ignited the fire of civil war and eventually destroyed Wei Zi. Weizi was founded in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and was destroyed by the war in 1946, which lasted for 349 years. Today, Wei Zi still exists. A pair of stone lions in front of the mountain gate have moved to the front of the martyrs cemetery. Weizi Wanshou Bridge flies across the ditch, still; The 36 railings are divided into left and right sides, and the images of various stone carvings and the names of sponsors are clearly visible. On the east and west sides of the bridge, there are a pair of stone faucets protruding from the bottom of the bridge, with jade beads in their mouths and smoking. There are two stone couplets under the four faucets. A couplet in the east is: Wanfulai has a road; The universe is for all beings. A pair of couplets on the west side is: the mountain temple clouds stop beside the three yuan blessing; The surge of water every month proves that everything is empty. Today, Liu Zhuang Middle School has been built on the old site of Wei Zi. Whenever the weather is clear, sunny and sparkling, the sound of books on the bridge is loud. The traffic on Tongyu Road in the east is like a shuttle, the whistle of Chuanchang River in the west is ringing, Liu Zhuang Town in the south is bustling, and friendship village Daoxiang in the north is overflowing. Or a picture of Tianyuan scenery.

Generally speaking, you don't need accommodation to visit Wei Zi. If you really want to have a rest, there is a hostel on the roadside outside the school, next to the 204 National Road.
