Abnormal obstacle-a real animation

Last night, I watched a stop-motion animation called Out of Order, and its English name was Anomalisa.

As can be seen from the picture poster, this stop-motion animation character is like a puppet. The whole picture style looks hazy, but the details are extremely real.

The plot of the story is extremely simple. Michael Stone, a successful master, went to Cleveland, Ohio, USA, slept in a hotel with his fan Lisa, made a successful speech, and then went home. Watching the plot is hardly a movie.

But its greatness lies in the perfection of details. Because the film has not yet been released and the screen is dark, people have been talking endlessly; By the end of the film, the picture returned to darkness, and some people were still chattering. The hero Michael held the hand of the seat next to him on the plane and kept talking; The driver who took a taxi to the hotel kept talking to him; The waiter took him to the room and kept talking; In my mind, there is still an Amarosssi Bella (his ex-girlfriend) chasing him around and asking him why he left him in the first place. All the people, male and female, were matched by the voice of an unemotional man, including Michael's wife and son who called the hotel.

When I first saw this place, I thought it was a poor crew and couldn't afford a voice actor. It was not until a sudden turning point that I realized that the design of this film was awesome.

The first half of the film shows the protagonist's character and life in various details-as a master of success, life is full of cowardice; Impatient with taxi drivers, waiters, etc.; Anxiety about memorizing the manuscript before the speech; I have to rehearse many times in advance to call my ex-girlfriend, and I still stutter; After meeting my ex-girlfriend, there is nothing to talk about. Finally, it broke up in discord. All these reflect Michael's unhappy life and depressed personality.

There is a turning point in the middle of the movie-the protagonist is on the verge of collapse while taking a shower-the director uses the setting of the stop-motion animation doll to make his face start to fall off, and he quickly installs it.

Just then, I heard a woman's voice, gentle and sweet; A real female voice. This made him very excited, regardless of the image, knocking at the door to find this voice.

Finally, he found it. The voice is Lisa's. She is not beautiful and even has scars on her face. Life is not rich either. It's my first time to stay in such an upscale hotel. Michael doesn't care about all this, only her voice, which is so unique. This is exactly what Michael has been looking for.

Michael and Lisa had a pleasant evening. Until early in the morning, he had a dream that the hotel manager talked to him and told him that people all over the world loved him. He can choose at will, but he just can't choose Lisa. Only then did he realize that "others" all over the world are one person. Have the same voice, the same face. I found it here, too. Looking back, I found it was true. )

Only Michael and Lisa have different faces and different voices. That's why Michael wants to be desperate with Lisa. Even after waking up, I will abandon my wife and children and live with Lisa.

It just didn't last long. Michael, listen to Lisa's constant imagination of the future. When Michael thought about the long life in the future, he began to get tired of Lisa again. In his mind, Lisa's voice gradually became a male voice like the people around him. He was so scared that he forced a smile and sent Lisa away. After a hasty speech, he came home and a bunch of people with the same face spoke to him again. The film ended in noise.

There are two turning points in the film, both marked by Michael's face falling off, which is exactly what he has to struggle with and one of the hidden reasons why the film is called "Out of Order".

The film is called Anomalisa, which comes from the name that Michael gave Lisa. I looked it up, and there is no word anomalisa, only the word abnormality, which means disorder.

The film looks dull, but in fact it deeply touched people. Michael's feelings for the people around him are personally experienced by many people in reality. Life is like this movie. When you go to work, get off work, eat and sleep, everything is dull without any waves. It's like a prison where people are trapped. Everyone is numb, mechanical, smirking and lacking in energy. The responsibility of the role played in life makes people full of anxiety all day long. Like the hero Michael, I don't think he really likes Lisa. He was just tired of repeating his life day after day, so he used Lisa to escape from reality. But if he wants to start a new life with Lisa, he will run away again.

It makes me introspect. I remember a saying that some people died at the age of 25 and were buried at the age of 75. I don't want to be the protagonist Michael in the movie, and I don't want to be such a person.
