Where is the Ningguo Mansion in "A Dream of Red Mansions"?

Ningguo Mansion is the residence of Ning Guogong in "A Dream of Red Mansions". As a first-level local government, Ningguo Mansion began in the second year of Qiandao in the Southern Song Dynasty (1166 AD). Before that, it was also known as Xuanzhou, Xuancheng County, and Ningguojun. The Ningguo Mansion written in "A Dream of Red Mansions" is one of the Jia Mansion, the other is Rongguo Mansion, and Ningguo Mansion is higher than Rongguo Mansion.

Ningguo Mansion, as a local administrative agency, spanned nearly a thousand years (from 979 to 1912). It lasted for four dynasties, and the four dynasties were Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing. Starting from the Song Dynasty, the prefecture and county system replaced the prefecture and county system and became the local administrative system of all dynasties.

Ningguo Mansion was officially called the Mansion in the Song Dynasty. Because Emperor Xiaozong of the Song Dynasty and Zhao Zhen once resided in the area under the jurisdiction of the Ningguo Army, the place was automatically upgraded to a prefecture. This allusion appears in several historical sources. For example, the "History of Song Dynasty: The Benji of Xiaozong" contains the following record: In 1166, Xuanzhou was promoted to Ningguo Prefecture. In other words, Ningguo Mansion was formerly called Xuanzhou. There is still a city called Xuanzhou City, also known as Xuancheng.

In the Yuan Dynasty, the name of Ningguo Mansion was changed. At that time, Ningguo Mansion was changed to Ningguo Road General Manager's Mansion. During the reign of Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty, the place name of Ningguo Mansion underwent four changes. The first time was in 1357, when Zhu Yuanzhang changed Ningguo Road to Ning'an Prefecture; the second time was in 1361, when Ning'an Prefecture was changed to Xuancheng Prefecture; five years later, in 1366, Xuancheng Prefecture was changed to Xuanzhou Prefecture; One year later, in 1367, Xuanzhou Prefecture was changed back to Ningguo Prefecture.

Extended information:

The Jia family described in "A Dream of Red Mansions" is a nobleman with a high status in society. Jia's Mansion is divided into two branches, one is Ningguo Mansion and the other is Rongguo Mansion. Ning Guo Mansion is higher than Rong Guo Mansion because Ning Guo Gong and Rong Guo Gong were brothers at first. Ning Gong is the eldest, Rong Gong is the second, so Ning Guofu is very important. Of course, at the beginning of the story of "Dream of Red Mansions", the author designed it like this: There is still an elder living in Rongguo Mansion, that is Jia Mu, so Ningrong and other mansions call her ancestor, the highest seniority.

Ning Guofu and Jia Mu’s peers are all dead. The highest-ranking person in Ningguo Mansion is Jia Jing, because Jia Jing has no children since he became a Taoist priest. He only has one son named Jia Zhen. Jia Zhen also gave birth to only one son named Jia Rong. Therefore, such a feudal aristocratic family, such an important mansion, is equivalent to a single generation of three generations.

Rongguo Mansion has a relatively large population. Ning Guofu's population is relatively sparse.
