There was no wine at home, so I went to the hotel to buy it, and the wine was sold out. Xin Tiyuan played a play in the first couplet: no wine is the poor master; Only a slightly childish voice replied: You Er is a famous minister.

Xin Tiyuan's eyes swept away, and the original response turned out to be Xiao Jisheng, and he couldn't help but pay tribute. When Yang Jisheng grew up, he really became a famous minister of the Ming Dynasty. He was a member of the Ministry of War. At that time, the traitor Yan Song was in dictatorship, and Yang Jisheng was demoted four times in one year for daring to speak out. The last time, on the way to being demoted, he impeached Yan Song for "ten crimes and five rapes" and was framed, imprisoned, tortured and killed.

Iron shoulders bear morality;

Writing articles is difficult.

It was Yang Jisheng who wrote this immortal couplet in prison. The couplets are sonorous and powerful, showing his soul-stirring mind and iron character.

The second interesting collection of couplet stories

Selling firewood and children is a good way to get into home school.

In the Ming Dynasty, there was a "prodigy" named Shi in Wuxian County, Jiangsu Province. Shipan's family is too poor to go to school. He has been cutting wood and grass for money since he was five years old! At the same time, I used my time to secretly learn to read, read, recite poems and fight with an old scholar in the village. When Shipan was nine years old, he went into town to sell firewood and passed by a private school. Listening to the sound of reading from inside, Lang Lang really wants to be a student in a private school. Just then, Zhang, the owner of the private school, came home in a sedan chair and found Xiao Shipan. Zhang asked him what he was doing standing here, and Xiao Shiban mumbled that he wanted to study in a private school. Hearing this, Zhang Hexian laughed and said, "The poor boy also wants to study in my private school, and he doesn't want to think about his identity." Under Xiao Shipan's repeated entreaties, Zhang said, "All right, I'll make an appointment. As long as you can match, I can make an exception and let the private school teacher accept you. " The first part of Zhang Hexian is:

The new moon is like a bow, and the waning moon is like a bow, with the upper chord bow and the lower chord bow;

This couplet uses the words "bow" and "moon" and "string". Zhang thought that this time, the firewood boy would be stumped. Unexpectedly, Xiaoshipan listened to the first couplet and said with a smile, "I can't afford the tuition, but I can't beat that pair." He wanted to think a little, and then to the bottom allied way:

Morning glow like brocade, sunset glow like brocade, Dongchuan brocade, Xichuan brocade.

Shipan's couplets are composed of the word "Jin" and the words "Xia" and "Chuan", which fully meet the requirements of Zhang's couplets. Chao and dusk are used to represent "new" and "disabled", and East and West are used to represent "upper" and "lower".

Divide customers

Jiang Dao, a young writer in the Ming Dynasty, was quick-witted and resourceful when he was young, and he was famous in the countryside.

One day, his grandfather took him to a temple to play. Jiang Dao jumped down from the high steps and jumped to the bottom three times and two times. Grandpa saw, smiled and said:

Three jumps, jumping off the ground;

Jiang Dao looked up below and just saw the tree; There is a bird flying into the sky with a snort. He immediately said:

Fly, fly to the sky.

Grandpa was very happy to hear this and praised it again and again.

Once, his father's friend came to visit. They sat in the living room, reciting poems and couplets. Suddenly, dark clouds were gathering. Then, a strong wind blew. After a while, it began to rain heavily, and the rain splashed on the window. One of the guests saw enough raindrops on the paper and was moved by this scene. He made a couplet for it:

Freezing rain sprinkled on the window, two o'clock in the east and three o'clock in the west;

This couplet means that at the moment, cold raindrops hit the window, with raindrops in the east window and raindrops in the west window. Literally, the word "freezing" in Freezing Rain consists of "east" and two points, and the word "sprinkling" in Sprinkling Window consists of "west" and three points. In this way, Lian Yi not only explained the scene of rain hitting the window at that time, but also explained the composition of the words "frozen" and "sprinkled". In this way, the bottom line is not good. What the second half of the sentence requires is related to what the first half of the sentence says. The first and third words of the first half of the sentence are really difficult to spell. The guests present thought hard and racked their brains, which was difficult to cope with, and the living room was silent for a while.

At this moment, the servant brought the melon, and Jiang Tao's father cut the melon quickly and invited the guests to eat it. Standing by and watching his father cut melons, Jiang Tao, the guest who ate melons, immediately said, "I'll make couplets." Then sing a way:

Cut the customer, cut it horizontally, and cut it vertically.

When a word comes out, it is full of surprises. In the first half of the second couplet, Jiang Dao talked about eating melons at that time. The second half of the sentence "horizontal seven knives" and "vertical eight knives" not only refers to cutting melons, but also has a direct relationship with the first half. At the same time, "seven" and "knife" are the first word "cut" in the first half of the sentence when viewed horizontally from left to right; "Eight" and "knife" stand up and down, which together is the third word "fen". It's a pun. It's interesting. The guests were all surprised.

The fourth episode is an interesting couplet story.

The small correct answer shows literary talent.

Yu Qian (1398- 1457) was born in Qiantang, Zhejiang (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang). In the Ming Dynasty, water was in the grave, and he was a famous national hero (1). He has been studious and ambitious since childhood. When you read a book, you can recite it immediately and export sentences. Once, Yu Qian's mother combed his hair into a double bun to go to school. One day, a monk named Lan saw her. Lan made fun of his appearance and said:

The bull's head gave birth to horns with joy;

Yu Qian immediately responded:

A dog's mouth will never grow ivory.

Lan Gu Chun cut his throat and left in a hurry. When Yu Qian came home, he said to his mother, "You can't comb my double bun anymore. A few days later, Lan happened to pass by the school again and saw Yu Qian's hair combed into a fork, so he called again:

A triangle is like a drum;

Yu Qian should sound:

Bald as a hammer.

Lan praised his quick thinking and said to Qian's teacher, "When this child grows up, he must be a pillar of the country."

One year in Tomb-Sweeping Day, when Yu Qian went to the ancestral grave with his family's adults and passed the Phoenix Terrace, my uncle made a couplet for him. Couplets are:

At present, it is the same as the Phoenix Tower;

Yu Qian immediately responded:

He monopolized Qilin Pavilion in 1989.

When adults heard this, they were surprised by this ambitious dialogue. His uncle said, "This child is our pony!" "

On the way back from sweeping the grave, I passed a memorial arch with three words written on it: Guixin Street.

Yu Qian's uncle said: The first two words of these three words belong to heavenly stems (namely, A, B, C, D, E, Ji, G, Xin, Ren and Gui). It is not easy to get a correct place name. "Who knows, less than modest (Romance of the Three Kingdoms), written in Shaanxi place names, right?

His uncles and nephews were even more surprised and happy when they heard it, because the first two words of this place name happened to be the words in the local branch (namely, Zi, Ugly, Yin, Mao, Chen, Ji, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu and Hai), which just paired with (Guixin Street).

Two years later, Yu Qian became a county student. At that time, a policeman visited a temple in his hometown. An accompanying official pointed to the Buddha statue in the temple and said:

Three giant buddhas, sitting on a lion like a lotus;

No one is right at present. Yu Qian happened to be there, and he casually replied:

A scholar, climbing phoenix, dragon and laurel.

How do you know that fish won't become dragons?

Qiu Jun, a Ming scholar, (14 18- 1495) was born in Qiongshan (now Qiongshan, Guangdong). When I was a child, I studied in a school. One day, it was raining cats and dogs, and some seats leaked. Everyone scrambled for seats that didn't leak rain. At that time, Qiu Jun was competing for a seat with the son of a local dignitary. Two people to outdo each other, flushed. The teacher saw it and said, "You two should argue separately. I have a pair of five-character couplets, so I can sit in the right place. " Then read:

The drizzle dripped on the shoulders;

Hearing this, the son of the dignitaries was dumbfounded and didn't get up, but Qiu Jun had answers.

Qingyun is full of vitality.

Hearing this, the teacher had to give Qiu Jun the seat that didn't leak rain.

The son of the powerful didn't believe it, so he came home from school and cried to his father about competing for a seat. The dignitaries were furious and sent someone to call Qiu Jun home. When they met, they flustered and frustratedly drink a way:

Who says dogs can bully tigers!

Qiu Jun disdain a smile, calmly replied:

How do you know that fish won't become dragons?

Hearing this, the dignitaries got a fright and knew that Xiao Qiujun was not an idle person. When he grew up, he must have something to say and had to let him go back.

Qiu Jun has grown up and is really successful. Jingtai was a scholar, taught editing, and offered wine to the son of China during Chenghua. Xiaozong acceded to the throne, served as the minister of rites, and served as a university student in Wenyuange to participate in maintenance. He is studious by nature, opposed to "writing dangerously" and is familiar with national allusions. He thinks that the items in Xia's book "University Extension" are not complete enough, so he borrows a large number of books (1) to supplement it, which is called "University Extension". He was blind in his right eye in his later years, but he still insisted on reading and browsing.

Yang Pu cleverly avoided his father's service.

Yang Pu (1379- 1446) was born in Shishou (now Shishou, Hubei). Ming Wenjian is a scholar, and was awarded the editor (1). He was a famous scholar in Ming Dynasty. He used to be a bachelor of Hanlin, a bachelor of Wuyingdian, and a minister of rites. He,, and the four dynasties (,Renzong, Xuanzong, Yingzong) are collectively called the Cabinet (Sanyang).

When Yang Pu was a child, his family was poor and his father was old and sick. In such a family, he is diligent and studies hard. Young as he is, he is gifted in literature.

Once, the county magistrate sent someone to arrest his father for hard labor. At that time, his father was ill. Yang Pu went to the county government and repeatedly begged for exemption from hard labor. Seeing that he was a child, the county magistrate made things difficult for him and said, "I'll make a couple." If you are right, I can release your father. " Then, from the first part:

The four ports are the same as the figure, and the inner port belongs to the outer port tube;

The conception of this couplet is wonderful. The county magistrate folded the word with the structure of "map", but said, "Within my jurisdiction, the people must obey my jurisdiction." Small Yangpu heard that the county magistrate likes to kiss up, thought for a moment and fell in love with it. By the way, the second part:

Five people hold umbrellas, and the villain is covered by adults.

The bottom allied Yang Pu also used the word "word analysis" to open the word "umbrella", which not only expressed the request, but also complimented the county magistrate, and the confrontation was neat and decent. Therefore, the county magistrate had to nod and praise, and finally pardoned his father's labor.

The seventh series of interesting couplet stories

Xu Jiang had a wonderful childhood.

Xu Jiang (1045-111) was born in Min County, Fujian Province (now Fuzhou). Song Renzong was the first champion in the eighth year of Xi You (1063). As a child, he was smart, studious and brilliant, and was a famous "little prodigy".

In the summer when Xu Jiang was nine years old, after visiting Baiyan Mountain with relatives, he was thirsty on the way back, so he asked the old man who was giving tea to the fence of the vegetable garden. The old fence man knew long ago that the child standing in front of him was a local famous "little prodigy". He didn't give tea immediately, but made a condition and said to him, "Little brother, of course you can have tea, but please be right." I have a pair that I have hidden in my heart for many years and can't get it out. I'll give you tea only after you take out the bottom couplet. "

Although Xiao Xu is thirsty, he knows how to respect his elders. He said politely and modestly, "Please give me your advice and let my children know."

The old man read the first couplet with his fence:

One fence, two latitudes and three piles of vegetable gardens, planting vegetables in spring, summer, autumn and winter;

Among the clansmen who made friends with Xu Jiang, there were many refined people. After listening to the first couplet, Jiang couldn't help for a while, so they were worried that nothing would happen to him. Wit Xiao Hui a wink, patted his head and unhurriedly hit the bottom allied:

Collection of books 100 volumes, both at home and abroad.

When Xu Jiang finished, everyone clapped their hands and said it was wonderful. Hearing this, the old man around the fence secretly admired. "Yes, but I don't know if he got it by accident or if he is really talented." I think, try another pair. So, the old man said, "Brother, how about letting me teach another pair?" Xiao Xu can't drink tea, his mouth is more thirsty. But I still patiently and respectfully replied: "Please advise." The old man took Baishishan, their scenic spot today, as a topic, and Kan Kan read aloud:

White rocks, white fog and white roses, such as jade plates;

After listening to the first couplet, the fellow travelers knew that the old man used compound words as a rhetorical device and racked his brains to help Xiao Xu. However, General Xiao Xu had a good idea. Looking back at today's mountaineering and sightseeing, he once again presented a beautiful picture: Tuohong Temple on Lotus Rock, Red Temple reflecting the morning glow; When he thought of the red cuckoo blooming on the hawksbill peak, he immediately had a bottom line, so he was in no hurry:

Red Temple Xia Honghong Rhododendron, if you enjoy the screen.

Hearing this, the old man cocked his thumb happily and even called it wonderful. Immediately, the best white rock tea was served. Xiao Xu took the tea and wanted to drink it. The old man shouted, "Slow down!" On the one hand, there are fragrant jasmine flowers in the teacup. Just then, the old man found the shadow of the first quarter moon and reflected it in the teacup. Seeing this, he called out again: "Slow down! Do it again. " As read out:

Tea drinkers swallow the moon in the cup;

This couplet not only stumped the scholars who traveled together, but also really stumped Xiao Xu. At this time, Xiao Xu will hold tea with attractive aroma and dare not send it to his mouth. He bowed his head and thought hard, so he had to look around to find the right material. When he found a sister-in-law hanging water by the well, he was suddenly enlightened! I cried happily: "Yes!" Then clear voice read aloud a way:

Water paints a person and a star hangs in the well.

Everyone cheered in unison, and the old man's beard was so happy that he shouted again, "Slow down, little brother!" " "Everyone froze and thought he was going to have a problem again. It turns out that he loves talents and is happy. He smiled and added longan meat to Xu Jiang's teacup, and then said, "The child prodigy really deserves his reputation. He will definitely win the first prize in the future! "

After Xu Jiang won the top prize, he successively served as editor, judge of Longtuge, straight bachelor of Longtuge, bachelor of Hanlin, Zuo Cheng and You Cheng, ministers, Zhizhou (now Tianshui County, Gansu Province), Yangzhou (now Jiangdu County, Jiangsu Province), Yunzhou (now Pingdong Valley in the east) and other places. In the seventh year of Xining (1024), the Khitan attacked Daizhou (now Yanmen County, Shanxi Province) with 200,000 soldiers, and the court ordered Xu Jiang to go north to negotiate with the Khitan. During the negotiation, the other side fought bravely with the other side and answered questions and answers, which made the other side dumbfounded. Finally, the negotiation was successful and the invasion of foreign enemies was avoided.

Dialogue between Spring Festival couplets and prodigy Jie Jin.

Jie Jin (1369- 14 15), a minister of the Ming Dynasty, was born in Jishui (now Jishui, Jiangxi). He was a scholar in Hongwu period. Jie Jin is smart, quick-thinking and studious. He has been familiar with the "Four Books" and "Five Classics" since childhood. He is proficient in all kinds of articles and poems, especially in antithesis, and is called "prodigy" by far and near. The following is the story of his childhood conversation.

One year on New Year's Eve, teenage Jie Jin wrote a pair of Spring Festival couplets:

Looking at the sails of the Lijiang River; Look at the lanterns in luling at night.

This pair of Spring Festival couplets attracted all the neighbors to watch and everyone praised it. Opposite Jie Jin's house is Cao Shangshu's mansion. The senior minister has always been called a "prodigy", but he doesn't believe in Jie Jin's literary talent. He couldn't help secretly approving this pair of Spring Festival couplets. It's just that I have some doubts in my heart, so I decided to think of an idea to test Jie Jin. Cao Shangshu ordered a bamboo to be planted on the riverbank opposite Xie Jiamen, blocking Xie Jia's view of "watching Jiangfan in Jiangxi every day and Luling lanterns at night".

On New Year's Eve the following year, Jie Jin posted a pair of Spring Festival couplets on the gate again:

Door to door; I live in thousands of books.

Cao Shangshu was amazed when he saw it. In order to test Jie Jin again, the bamboo was immediately cut short. When he went to see Xie Jia's Spring Festival couplets again, he saw a word added to each pair of couplets, which became:

The door is shorter than the stem and bamboo;

The door is as short as 1000 bamboo poles; Thousands of books's family has a long history.

Cao Shangshu was cruel, and his family dug up the bamboo roots. At this time, Jie Jin again at the end of the couplet, added a word, couplet:

The door is short of a thousand bamboo poles; My home is in thousands of books.

Cao Shangshu was very helpless, so he sent someone to send Jie Jin a red invitation, and he must meet this "child prodigy" face to face.

Jie Jin received a red invitation from Cao Shangshu, so he took people to Cao Shangshu's house. I saw the door closed and the side door wide open, so I turned and walked back. Cao Shangshu inside the door sneer at a way:

The boy has no talent or doubt;

Hearing this, Kim casually grunted:

Dapeng spreads his wings and hates the sky.

Cao Shangshu had to open the door to welcome Jie Jin. He looked at the green Jie Jin, then sing a way:

Toads in the water are dressed in green;

Jie Jin smiled and pointed to the red Cao Shangshu, tit-for-tat replied:

The shrimp in the pot is wearing a red robe.

Cao Shangshu become angry from embarrassment scold a way:

Two apes cut down trees in the deep mountain, but the little monkey dared to saw?

Jie Jin also not polite, immediately change color:

When the horse fell into the mud, how could the old beast run out of its hoof?

Cao Shangshu, who was born in Hanlin, couldn't get the upper hand against a wet behind the ears child. He is very unwilling, but he has to admit that this "prodigy" is brilliant and quick-thinking. Cao Shangshu didn't stop there, so he invited a spectator. He wants to test Jie Jin again in front of everyone.

Cao Shangshu took a sip of his wine, facing a picture of ink hanging on the wall, and blurted out:

Traces of drunkenness and love;

Jie Jin freely sings:

I am fascinated by the poem Bai Ye (1).

Cao Shangshu immediately out of a top allied:

The wind blows a thousand rows of ponytails;

Jie Jin immediately answer:

Rizhao Longlin 10,000 gold points.

The audience were all moved by Jie Jin's clever couple and couldn't help applauding and cheering. Cao Shangshu was very worried when he saw that Jie Jin had not been defeated. He pointed to the picture on the screen and made a couplet:

Dragons don't sing, tigers don't bark, fish don't jump, toads don't jump, laughing off their fangs.

Jie Jin thought for a moment, pointing to the fragments on the case and replied:

Cars have no wheels, horses have no saddles, elephants have no teeth, and guns have no fire. Take General Sene alive.

Jie Jin just say that finish, Cao Shangshu sweat on his forehead, but still refused to give up, with a lesson tone way:

Eyeballs, nostrils and beads are still on Confucius;

Jie Jin thought for a while, and then he got the answer:

Mr. Mei, after he was born, he was longer than Mr. Mei.

This couplet has a profound meaning and implies sarcasm, which can be described as quite ingenious. Jie Jin didn't say that finish, onlookers amaze, Cao Shangshu suddenly speechless, so we have to pretend to be drunk.

Jie Jin's extraordinary intelligence forced Cao Shangshu to gasp in admiration. One day, he invited Jie Jin into the house to see if Jie Jin had made any progress in his studies recently. So, after several couplets, Cao Shangshu never got the upper hand. So, use the last resort; Using homophonic puns, I tried to kill three birds with one stone to overwhelm Jie Jin. His first part is:

Planting bamboo shoots in front of the court;

Jie Jin will be here soon:

Planting flowers behind the house is the skill of elders.

Cao Shangshu said with a smile: "My couplet means that the bamboo planted in front of the yard grows bamboo shoots first." Jie Jin said, "I mean, the flowers planted behind the temple have grown old branches."

Cao Shangshu added, "My first couplet has another explanation. It was said that the bamboo planted in the yard didn't grow well and the teacher cut it down, so it was:

Mr. Zhu planted bamboo in front of the court;

Jie Jin immediately went on to say, "My bottom line also has another meaning. It is said that the flowers planted behind the temple were blown crooked by the wind, and the elders supported them with wooden sticks, so there are:

Plant flowers behind the temple to support the elders.

Cao Shangshu said with a smile, "I don't know about prodigies. I have a third meaning in this part. I said that bamboo was planted in front of the court, and the teacher asked others. What is the reason, so it is:

Before the trial, Mr. Zhu asked;

Jie Jin clapped his hands and said with a smile, "Don't worry, Master Cao, my second couplet has another meaning, that is, flowers were planted behind the house, and the young monk hurried to tell the elder, who said that he already knew. So it is:

Planting flowers behind the house is known to the elders.

Cao Shangshu's "Kill Three Birds with One Stone" still didn't beat the clever Jie Jin, and he couldn't help but sincerely admire: "What a genius!" Cao Shangshu was so eager for talents that he was overjoyed and betrothed his daughter to Jie Jin. Note: "Bai Ye" comes from the poem "Invincible Poems by Bai Ye" by Du Fu, the poet sage. This couplet is even and elegant, and the function words "ye" and "zhi" are opposite, which makes the couplet interesting.
