A person over 40 years old should be responsible for his face.

A friend of Lincoln once recommended a cabinet member to him, but after meeting him, Lincoln didn't appoint him. When a friend came to ask why, Lincoln said, "I don't like his looks." The friend said, "How can you judge a book by its cover? This is too harsh, he can't be responsible for his natural face. " Lincoln replied, "No, a person is responsible for his face after he is 40 years old."

This reminds me of two people I have contacted recently.

He is also the general manager of hotels A and B.

A is relatively young, and has been the general manager of a hotel in the same private enterprise for 20+ years. Frankly speaking, he doesn't know where to go after leaving this enterprise, and he feels that he will work here all his life! Although the hotel he is currently managing is pushing the windows to the sea, the hotel is neglected in maintenance, and the facilities and hardware are outdated due to the erosion of sea breeze. In addition, affected by the epidemic, the peak season is not prosperous, and the off-season is even lighter. In the conversation with him, although the company only pursues the maximization of interests, it is unwilling to invest in decoration, fearing that the hotel will fall into the current predicament. As an inexperienced employee of the company, you don't have to worry about work problems and poor income. However, after all, the property has its own, and there is no cost of renting a large piece, and but his face is unhurried and calm.

B was always the general manager of foreign high-end hotels when he was young, such as Four Seasons Hotel. When I am old, I slowly wander between private and state-owned hotels and become the general manager. There is a big gap between the location and income level of the hotel where he works. Although the hotel he is in charge of is also one of the top hotels in the local area with luxurious decoration, his worries are written on his face. He is on a contract. Will he lose his job when the contract expires? It's a small place with a low level of employees. So the words on his forehead are full of worries.

This is actually an aspect of mentality. What you think in your heart determines the state of your face.
