Only on weekends and holidays can you visit Tsinghua with your ID card. Usually, you can only enter with the student ID card of the insider. The west gate of Tsinghua is strict, because it is close to Ermen, Tsinghua, Shui Mu and other scenic spots, and the east gate is loose, so it can be mixed behind a large group of students. The hotel might as well find a chain hotel near the subway and book directly online. Hotels nearby are expensive and it is difficult to book. There are many canteens, but you need a meal card or a student ID card to eat. Sometimes you can buy a temporary meal card, but it is not insured. Some places in Tsinghua campus can be settled in RMB, such as near Zhao Lan College. You can ask the students inside. Breakfast can be eaten in the hotel, or go to KFC outside the campus, or buy a pancake fruit directly.
