Modern hotel management problems

There are six principles in hotel organization: organizational form obeys organizational objectives, hotel organizational line should serve objectives, equal chain and unified command principle, organizational width and authorization principle, systematic principle and unified principle.

2. Peer-to-peer chain and unified command principle. Fa Yueer put forward the principle of equal chain. As an organizational system, hotels form various management levels from top to bottom, and form a chain-like system structure from top managers to bottom managers, which is the equal chain. Starting from the principle of equal chain, it leads to the principles of power and responsibility, obedience to orders and unity of orders in organizational management.

3. Linear functional organizational structure. The linear functional organization structure divides all departments of the hotel into two categories, one is that the business departments (also called linear departments) organize and conduct vertical command according to the principle of linearity, and the other is that the functional departments perform certain management functions according to the principle of division of labor and specialization. Among them, the business department has the right to decide the business within its own scope of responsibility, and can command and direct its subordinates and take full responsibility, while the managers of functional departments only provide suggestions and business guidance to relevant management functions, but cannot command and direct the business department. The combination of the two forms the organizational structure of linear function system.

4. The basic system of the hotel. The basic system of hotel mainly includes hotel management plan, employee handbook, economic responsibility system and post responsibility system.
