The identity registration for staying in a hotel requires a valid ID.
Valid documents include:
(1) Resident ID card or temporary resident ID card for Chinese citizens living in the country;
(2) Resident ID card Chinese citizens under the age of 16 in the territory must have a household registration book, but minors must be accompanied by an adult when staying in a hotel; (3) Chinese People's Liberation Army soldiers must have a military ID card; the Chinese People's Armed Police must have a military ID card.
