Where does Fuliang Red Pagoda belong?

The Red Pagoda is located on a small mound in the west of the old city of Fuliang County, Jingdezhen City. It has seven hexagonal floors, with two pavilions on each side and corner pavilions. Except for the second floor, it is the same. Except for the doors and windows on the first floor, which are higher and have no flat seats, the remaining floors have flat seats. According to the "Fuliang County Chronicle": "The tower was built in the Song Dynasty by the monk Du Chuang in the year of 1998. It was built in the Song Dynasty and rebuilt in the third year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty." Because the outer wall is red, it is named the Red Tower.

There used to be a temple in front of the Red Pagoda, called the West Temple. It was built more than a thousand years ago in the 6th year of Taihe in the Tang Dynasty (832 AD). Li Wenbiao, a citizen of Fuliang County, advocated building the West Temple in the 2nd year of Jianlong in the Song Dynasty (961 AD). A pagoda was built behind it. After 79 years, in the first year of Kangding in the Song Dynasty (AD 1040), a nine-story pagoda was built. The red pagoda has a history of nearly a thousand years. During the on-site survey of the Red Pagoda, it was found that there is a copper pot-shaped bowl on the top of the tower with inscriptions, recording the time when the construction of the Red Pagoda was completed. In 1984, the Jingdezhen Municipal People's Government renovated the Red Pagoda, which took two years to fully restore to the outside world. Open.

The name of the Red Pagoda is "Great Sage Pagoda". Because it is located to the west of Fuliang Ancient County, it is also called the West Pagoda. It is the oldest and best-preserved large ancient pagoda in Jiangxi Province, so it is also known as the "No. 1 Pagoda in Jiangxi". In 1959, the Red Pagoda was listed as one of the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in Jiangxi Province.
