Detian Waterfall is located in Detian Village, Shuolong Town, Daxin County, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on the border between China and Vietnam. On the Spring River, it is connected to the adjacent Banjo Waterfall in Vietnam. It is the largest transnational waterfall in Asia and the fourth largest in the world. The average annual water flow is about three times that of Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou. It is a national 5A tourist attraction.

Detian Waterfall is completely different from other scenic waterfalls in China. Detian Waterfall is a waterfall group composed of multiple small waterfalls. The widest point is 120 meters, with an average drop of 70 meters. The water flows continuously all year round. , majestic and spectacular.

At 8 o'clock in the morning on December 1st, we set off from the hotel, had breakfast, and arrived at Nanning Xixiangtang Passenger Terminal at 8:30. I purchased the tickets online last night and picked up the tickets from the automatic ticket vending machine today. , very convenient.

I arrived in Nanning last night. Apart from Qingxiu Mountain, there are no famous scenic spots in Nanning. You can ignore Nanning (saying this may be a harm to my friends in Nanning, but this is my reality at the time) idea), choose to take a bus directly to Detian Waterfall.

At 8:50 in the morning, the bus from Nanning to Detian Waterfall left on time. Along the way, there were too many banana orchards, orange orchards and sugar cane forests on both sides of the road, as well as dragon fruits everywhere. It’s overwhelming. These tropical fruits are familiar to southerners, but they are fresh and curious to us northerners.

The karst landforms along the way are very similar in style to Guilin, with many strange peaks, beautiful mountains and clear waters, and it is so beautiful.

Passing through the "Mingshi Pastoral" scenic spot on the way, some passengers chose to get off at Mingshi Pastoral. According to friends who have been here, the scenery of Mingshi Pastoral Garden is very good, and its style is similar to Guilin's landscape. Although the scale is smaller, it is very suitable for taking environmental portraits, so Mingshi Pastoral Garden is also in the planning of this trip. But the driver said: Mingshi Pastoral is a man-made scenic spot, not big in scale and not interesting. I don’t know who is more accurate. In the end, based on time, I decided to give up Mingshi Pastoral.

At 1:30 pm, the bus successfully arrived at the Detian Waterfall Scenic Area. The driver informed the passengers that the bus will return at 4:30 pm, and tourists returning to Nanning can also take this bus. It’s really God’s calculations. I thought there would be no bus back to Nanning that day and planned to stay in Daxin County that night. I didn’t expect that the return bus would be so smooth. This would save a day, time and worry.

When entering the tourist center of the scenic spot, scanning the code to take the temperature is a required action. It is still more than ten kilometers away from the tourist center to the scenic spot. You need to transfer to the scenic spot sightseeing bus and drive for half an hour to the core scenic spot.

Walking along the scenic trail near the river bank, we soon came to the waterfall. Looking up, the Guichun River tumbled down the cliff and hit the rocks, with water splashing and mist. Diffuse, from a distance it looks like silk hanging from the sky, from a close look it looks like flying beads splashing jade, through the refraction of the sun, it is colorful, the sound of running water shakes the valley, and it is magnificent. If you are interested, you can also take a boat to Ban Gioc Waterfall in Vietnam to take pictures.

Checking in and taking photos is a step that everyone who comes here cannot miss. Continuing forward, we reach the upper reaches of the waterfall. In order to find the shortest path to the downstream water surface, the water of Guichun River breaks through the rocks on the river bed upstream of the waterfall, forming many islands in the middle of the river. These islands in the river will The river water is divided into multiple streams, flowing from different parts to the cliff of the waterfall, causing the waterfall water to rush to the bottom of the cliff in multiple bundles...

Walking out of the river valley, you will come to the Sino-Vietnamese Commercial Street, where there are There are many souvenirs and local products with Vietnamese characteristics. Moving forward, we came to the China-Vietnam border. "No Passage" signs could be seen everywhere, and border guards were stationed. There was nothing special about the Vietnamese side. There was no obvious difference between the two sides. If there were no signs to remind " "20 meters away from the border", you really stepped out of the country in one step.

If you want to have a clearer view of Vietnam, if your physical strength and time permit, you can choose to return to the starting point from the "climbing high" plank road on the cliff wall of the mountain top. You can see Vietnam more clearly, and you can also overlook Detian Waterfall from a height.

Looking up at the Wangyue Plank Road hanging on the cliff, then looking at the time, and finally choosing to give up. Although you don’t want to go to the Wangyue Plank Road on the way back, you should still go up and experience it. Climbing up the steps along the plank road and climbing to a height of tens of meters, you can see a group of people wearing green uniforms in Vietnam who look like soldiers doing construction work in the distance. The houses there are slightly different from those in China. The mountains on the Vietnamese side are also karst landforms, and the scenery is equally beautiful.

After watching for a long time, we descended the same way. In order to rush for time, we wanted to take a battery car on the way back. But after waiting for a while, there was no car, so we had to walk back along the asphalt road. There are many viewing platforms along the way. You can start from From different perspectives, you can overlook the two waterfalls of Detian and Banyo. The panoramic view of the waterfalls from here is even more majestic and majestic. It was the right choice not to take the electric car. The journey is not far. I walked for ten minutes back to the tourist transfer station, took the bus back to the tourist center, and ended the tour of Detian Waterfall.

At 4:30 pm, we walked out of the scenic spot and took the morning bus back to Nanning. The next stop on the itinerary is Beihai. There is no direct train from Daxin County to Beihai, so we have to return to Nanning first before making plans. Taking the high-speed rail or bus from Nanning to Beihai will give you more options.

There is one regret in this trip, that is, I could not make the trip to the nearby Tongling Grand Canyon. The Tongling Grand Canyon in Baise City and the Detian Waterfall in Chongzuo City are only a few dozen kilometers apart. Because they belong to two cities, there is no direct train between them, and the mountain roads are rugged. It takes a lot of trouble to get to the Psychic Grand Canyon. Due to time constraints, we gave up the tour of the Psychic Grand Canyon on this trip.

Returned to Nanning Xixiangtang Passenger Terminal at 9 o'clock in the evening. It was already late and there were no more options. I continued to stay at the "West Station Convenient Hotel" near the passenger terminal that night.
