Jiangnan literally means Jiangnan, and human geography in a narrow sense refers to the Wu dialect area south of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Four famous gardens

Jiangnan garden is a natural landscape garden which mainly makes ponds and mountains. It flourished in the Six Dynasties and finally in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Mainly in Suzhou, Changzhou, Yangzhou, Nanjing, Shaoxing, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Huangshan, Chizhou, Huzhou, Shanghai, Jiaxing, Xuancheng, Wuhu and Shangrao. Hangzhou osmanthus glutinous rice lotus root is soft and sweet, while Nanjing osmanthus glutinous rice lotus root, together with "sweet osmanthus taro seedlings, plum blossom cakes, and red bean wine jiaozi", is known as the most humane street snack in Jinling and Nanjing.

Dongpo braised pork

According to legend, when Su Dongpo was relegated to Hangzhou, he lived in poverty. He imitated the previous practice and improved it, making braised pork with wine and stewing it slowly. This dish originated in Huangzhou, and later spread to Hangzhou, the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty, and became a famous local dish. Dongpo meat is mainly made of pork. The dishes are thin and tender, bright red in color, rich in juice, crisp in shape but not broken, clear and refreshing in meat color, fragrant and waxy but not greasy.

Lu Xun wrote in "The Tempest" that the dried Lai is very attractive. This attractive black dried vegetable is called moldy dried vegetable in Shaoxing, Lu Xun's hometown.
