Eze's live in Eze

The most famous hotel in Eze is undoubtedly the five-star hotel built on the cliff - the Golden Sheep Hotel (CHATEAU DE LA CHEVRE D'OR). In 1953, hotelier Robert Wolf bought the Golden Goat Castle and converted it into a restaurant. The restaurant gained worldwide fame thanks to Walt Disney's visit in 1956. Since then, Robert Wolfe has continued to buy distinctive houses and convert them into individual hotels, and reporters from all over the world have come here to interview him. The hotel became a stop in the "Road to Happiness" hotel chain founded in 1954 by Marcel Thiroy. The hotel currently has 39 single rooms and suites, all located in the center of the town, and each room is decorated in a different style. The eight suites are named after eight celebrities who vacationed in Eze: Nietzsche, Barlow, Cocteau, etc. Princes, princesses, politicians, actors and other celebrities come to visit in an endless stream. The American movie "The Bucket List" starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman had footage shot at Golden Sheep Castle.
