Delighting in Rain on a Spring Night 1

Tang Dynasty: Du Fu

Good rain knows the season, when spring comes. Sneak into the night with the wind, moisten things silently.

The wild path is dark, and the river is bright. Look at the red and wet place, the flowers in Jinguancheng are heavy.

It means: the good rain seems to have picked the right time, and it came in the spring when everything was born. With the breeze, quietly into the night. Fine and dense, nourishing everything on the earth.

Thick dark clouds covered fields and alleys, and small lights were lit, and fishing boats on the river flashed. Look at the flowers with dew tomorrow morning, and Chengdu will be full of flowers.

When writing this poem, the author had lived in Chengdu Caotang for two years. He cultivates self-cultivation, grows vegetables and flowers, and interacts with farmers. He has deep feelings for the spring rain, so he wrote this beautiful poem, describing the rain on a spring night and nourishing everything.

2. "quatrains"

Tang Dynasty: Du Fu

"Two orioles sing green willows, and egrets cover the sky."

My window framed the snow-covered western hills. My door often says "goodbye" to ships sailing eastward.

It means: two orioles sing tactfully among the green willows, and a group of neat egrets go straight to the blue sky.

Sitting by the window, you can see the snow accumulated all the year round on Xiling Mountain, and ships from Dongwu, thousands of miles away, are parked in front of the door.

In 762 AD, at the height of the Tang Dynasty, Chengdu Yin entered Korea. At that time, due to the "Anshi Rebellion", Du Fu once avoided Zizhou.

In the second year, the rebellion was put down and Yanwu returned to Chengdu. Du Fu also returned to Chengdu Caotang. At that time, he was in a good mood Faced with the vitality of this school, he couldn't help writing this poem.

3. "The hut was broken by the autumn wind"

Tang Dynasty: Du Fu

In August and autumn, the wind roared and rolled up my three hairs.

Hair flew over the river and sprinkled on the periphery of the river. The highest one hangs a long forest tip, and the lower one floats to Shentang 'ao.

The children in Nancun bully me, and I can't stand being a thief in the opposite direction and openly carrying Mao into the bamboo forest.

My lips are burnt, my mouth is dry, and I can't breathe. When I came back, I sighed at my staff.

In an instant, the wind will set the color of the clouds and ink, and the autumn will be bleak and dark.

This cloth has been as cold as iron for many years, and Joule has been lying down and cracking.

There is no dry place in the bedside table, and the feet are numb with rain.

What's the point of getting wet all night?

There are tens of millions of luxury houses in Ande, which greatly protect the poor in the world, with a spring breeze and a mountain of wind and rain.

Oh! When I suddenly see this house in front of me, I will freeze to death alone!

It means: in late autumn of August, the wind roared and the wind swept away several layers of thatch on my roof. The thatched grass flew across Huanhuaxi and scattered on the other side of the river. The high-flying thatch is wrapped around the high treetops, and the low-flying thatch floats and sinks into ponds and depressions.

A group of children in Nancun bullied me, so they had the heart to be "thieves" to grab things face to face and run into the bamboo forest with thatch in their arms. I'm thirsty and I can't stop drinking. When I came back, I sighed alone on crutches.

After a while, the wind stopped and the dark clouds in the sky were as black as ink. In late autumn, the sky becomes dark and foggy. This cloth has been covered for years, cold and hard, like an iron plate. The child's sleeping posture is not good and the quilt is torn.

When it rains, the roof leaks, and there is no dry place at home. The rain on the roof keeps leaking down like hemp thread. Since the Anshi Rebellion, I haven't slept much, and the nights are long, and the house leaks every night. How can I stay until dawn?

How can we get thousands of spacious and tall houses, generally shelter the poor people in the world and make them smile, while the houses are unmoved in the wind and rain, as stable as Mount Tai?

Alas! When will such a towering house appear in front of me? At that time, even if my hut is blown down by the autumn wind, I will willingly freeze to death myself!

In the spring of 760 AD, Du Fu entrusted his relatives and friends to build a hut next to Huanhuaxi in Chengdu, and finally found a place to live.

Unexpectedly, in August of 76 1 year (the second year of Shangyuan), a strong wind broke the house and a rainstorm followed. At that time, the Anshi rebellion had not subsided, and the poet was deeply moved and wrote this well-known poem.

4. Shu Xiang

Tang Dynasty: Du Fu

Where is the temple of the famous prime minister? It is in a deep pine forest near the Silk City.

The steps are dotted with green grass in spring, and birds are chirping happily under the leaves.

The third call aggravated his state affairs, and he gave his sincerity to two generations.

But before he conquered, he died, and since then the heroes have been crying on their coats.

Meaning: Where is Zhuge Liang's ancestral temple in Wuhou? In the dense cypress forest on the outskirts of Chengdu.

The green grass is reflected on the steps, showing the spring scenery, and the orioles on the trees sing through the branches.

It is believed that the ancestors of the world visited the cottage three times, assisted the founding of the two dynasties, and worked faithfully.

It's a pity that Wei died in the army before he started attacking Wei, which often made heroes of all ages burst into tears!

According to Qiu's note, Shu Xiang was written by Du Fu in the spring of the first year of Shangyuan (AD 760).

In December 759 (the second year of Tang Suzong), Du Fu ended his wandering life and came to Chengdu, where he settled by the Huanhua River. In the spring of 760 AD, I visited Zhuge Wuhou Temple and wrote this touching poem.

5. The sixth episode of Watching Flowers Alone by the River

Tang Dynasty: Du Fu

Four yellow maiden flowers thrive on the road covered, and thousands of flowers bow and the branches are low.

The butterflies in the flowers are dancing, and the soft yinger in freedom is just singing happily.

The girl with yellow silk is covered with lush flowers, and thousands of flowers bend their branches very low from the ground.

The colorful butterflies in the fragrant flowers have been dancing, and the free and soft oriole just cried with joy.

This group of poems was written in the spring of the 2nd year of Shangyuan in Tang Suzong (76 1) or the first year of Baoying in Tang Daizong (762) after Du Fu settled in Chengdu Caotang.

In the first year of Shangyuan (760), Du Fu suffered from the war and built a thatched cottage beside Huanhuaxi in the western suburbs, looking for a temporary residence. In the spring of the following year, he walked alone along Jinjiang to enjoy the flowers, and wrote a set of poems, Seven Poems on Finding Flowers Alone by the Riverside.

Extended data:

Chengdu Du Fu Caotang Museum is located at No.37, Tsinghua Road, Qingyang District, Chengdu, Sichuan. This is the former residence of Du Fu, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty in China, when he lived in Chengdu.

Du Fu lived here for nearly four years and wrote more than 240 poems. Wei Zhuang, a poet in the late Tang Dynasty, discovered the former site of the thatched cottage and rebuilt it to preserve it. It was repaired and expanded in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Covering an area of nearly 300 mu, the thatched cottage completely preserved the architectural pattern during the renovation and expansion in the 13th year of Hongzhi in Ming Dynasty (AD 1500) and 16th year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty (AD181KLOC-0/year). This is a sacred place in the history of China literature.

In the winter of 759 AD, Du Fu moved from Longyou (now southern Gansu Province) to Chengdu with his family to avoid the "Anshi Rebellion".

In the spring of 760, with the help of friends, a small house was built by the picturesque Huanhua River in the western suburbs of Chengdu.

In the spring of 76 1 year, the hut was built and called "Chengdu Caotang". His poem "A thatched cottage in the west of Wan Li Bridge, a pool of flowers is a blue wave" (Madman) mentioned the thatched cottage in Chengdu.

He has lived here for nearly four years. He was awarded the title of "Yuan Wailang of the Ministry of Supervision" and was called Du Gongbu.

In 765, Yanwu died of illness, and Du Fu had to say goodbye to his family and his family. Two years later, he lived in Jing and Hunan of the Three Gorges.

After Du Fu left Chengdu, the thatched cottage was destroyed.
