Can I call the police if I owe money for staying in a hotel?

Legal analysis: you can call the police, but the public security does not necessarily file a case for this kind of dispute. In principle, the tenant's arrears are civil disputes. If the police do not file a case, they can go to court to sue the other party for rights protection.

Article 3 The provisions of this Law shall apply to the people's courts in accepting civil lawsuits brought by citizens, legal persons, other organizations and among them because of property relations and personal relations.

Article 8 Parties to a civil lawsuit have equal litigation rights. When trying civil cases, the people's courts shall guarantee and facilitate the parties to exercise their litigation rights, and all parties are equal in the application of laws.

Article 9 In trying civil cases, the people's courts shall conduct mediation on the basis of voluntariness and legality. If mediation fails, a judgment shall be made in time.
