Sister Cherry: Walk into Spanish pioneer winery-Marquis de Cassel winery.

On the second day of our arrival in rioja, we set off early in the morning for Marqus de Cceres, a famous winery in rioja, to start a day of wine tasting.

Enrique Forner, the founder of the winery, is an important promoter of rioja wine to the world. Because of the Spanish Civil War, he moved to the Loire Valley in the Rhone region of France in 1936, and later bought the low-level winery Kamensak and the middle-level winery Rostring Taudong in Bordeaux. 1970, Enrique decided to return to Spain and settle in rioja, the most famous wine producing area in Spain. He borrowed his noble name Marqus de Cceres from a close friend of the Valencia family as the name of the winery.

In order to balance the modernization and tradition of North Korea, he sought the assistance of Emile Peynaud, the most famous grape breeder in Bordeaux, to create an ideal environment for wine brewing and storage, and bought an excellent vineyard in rioja.

Due to the historical origin, the architecture of Marquis Casseri Winery has Bordeaux style.

This is the first batch of equipment when the factory was built in the 1970s. It is no longer used for fermentation, but for storage.

Casseri Marquis Winery is also the first winery in rioja that uses stainless steel for temperature control fermentation.

For workers, it is a very meticulous job to label and bottle the top wines of the winery by hand.

Casseri Marquis Winery has 40,000 oak barrels distributed in five different wine cellars. The wine cellar we visited had 12600 barrels, most of which were French barrels and 30% were American barrels.

The traditional aging process is completed here, and at least100000 bottles of wine are kept in the winery. Again, really headstrong!

The winery is dominated by top French oak, supplemented by some American and Spanish oak. It breaks the unique oak style of traditional rioja wine, reduces the time of wine in oak barrels (12-28 months), and cultivates a balanced and rich aroma of mature fruits, which, combined with the elegant aroma after barrel aging, has rich level changes. Bottled before marketing and aged in wine cellar for 5- 10 years.

Enrique Follner's experience in France is priceless. He gathered a group of top grape farmers and maintained a good cooperative relationship with them. Enrique insists on producing only high-quality red and white wines, selecting the best grapes, adopting Bordeaux brewing technology, and paying attention to local traditions in rioja, so as to brew wines with personal style. A few weeks before the harvest, grape farmers go to the vineyard every day to analyze the maturity of grape fruits and pick them by hand.

At present, the winery * * * has 780 hectares of vineyards, of which the 45-year-old vineyard covers 56 hectares, and the oldest one is 120 years. The winery has 88 long-term and stable grape growers, of which 12 has become a shareholder.

The filling line can fill 12000 bottles of wine in one hour, but the first two kinds of wine in the winery are still bottled by small machines and manually labeled and boxed.

The soil and vines displayed by the winery.

At the beginning of its establishment, the winery began to choose the best vineyards around, good clay and limestone soil, old trees and vines planted, fresh and humid microclimate and obvious seasonal changes, creating ideal local conditions. These excellent conditions make the wines of Margaux Winery have bright color and proper richness.

Oak barrels are very important in rioja. Therefore, many wineries will introduce the production technology of oak barrels.

The decoration of the winery is full of wine elements, and the used wooden boxes are disassembled into tables, which are simple, beautiful and environmentally friendly.

In the tasting room, seven representative wines of the winery were tasted in turn.

After Enrique Follner's talented daughter Christina Follner inherited the winery, its reputation became more widely known. At present, half of its output is sold to 120 countries around the world. Marqus de Cceres wine, which is deeply loved by the Spanish royal family, was recognized as the first brand of wine quality by Spanish consumers in 2000. Now, Marqus de Cceres appears in high-end restaurants and five-star hotels all over the world.
