The Cultural Origin of Baihe Mountain in Qionglai

There is a Heshan desk at the top of Baihe Mountain behind Helin Temple, which is a place where famous doctors in Qiongzhou in Jin Dynasty often study, and also a place where Wei Wei, a famous scholar in Qiongzhou in Song Dynasty and a bachelor of Duanmingtang, rests. Wei Liaoweng wrote The Creation of Heshan here, detailing Chang's life story and the scene before and after the creation of Helin Temple. The existing reading desk was rebuilt and cultivated in the Qing Dynasty. The east, south and north sides are paved with stone, the quadrangle-style building on the stage is divided into two, and the house is a hill-resting building, which is magnificent, simple and solemn. There is a statue of Weng in the front hall of the desk. Officials wear robes and jackets, which is lifelike.

Behind the Hall of the Great Hero in the temple is the "reading desk", one of the eight scenic spots, which was built in Song Dynasty to commemorate Chang. The desk was rebuilt in the second year of Yongzheng (1724). Often a man, he used to be a provincial judge in Zhejiang and an official in Kaifeng. As an honest man, he was ostracized because he didn't agree with Cai Jing, was banished to his home, and lived in exile for more than 20 years. Later, he was posthumously awarded as a doctor of advice. In order to commemorate him, he built an advice reading desk. The statue of the reading desk has long been destroyed. Around 1980, a new statue of Wei Liaoweng, a great poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, was completed and opened to the outside world.

The Siming Building on the left side of the original First Mountain Gate of Helin Temple has been destroyed and rebuilt by 1989 on the left side of Daxiong Hall. You can have a panoramic view of the ancient city of Qionglai and the beautiful winding mountains and rivers in the southwest.
