Geological structure of Mizuho hot spring

Mizuho Hot Spring originates from the red leaf section of Yuli Layer in Hongye Village, Mizuho Township, Hualien County. Its distribution range is in the middle and lower reaches of Hongye Village, Zhaijiashan and Taipingxi in Jiaxing, south of Mizuho Daijiang. The lithology is mainly mica schist and phyllite, with a small amount of mica schist and greenschist, and the thickness is less than10m. Mica schist, phyllite and quartz mica schist are all composed of mica, quartz and a small amount of plagioclase, chlorite and calcite. The thickness of the rock stratum is not completely exposed, and the thickness of the exposed part is estimated to be about 700 meters by the folding surface method. The stratum exposed in the hot spring area is Neogene Da 'nan 'ao schist, and the source of the hot spring gushes out from the black schist at the southern foot of Hutou Mountain on the east bank of Hongyexi. Hot springs outcrop on the hillside behind the hotel, and cobblestone slope protection flows out. Taiwan Province Institute of Engineering once drilled a 500-meter exploratory well, and the highest temperature at the bottom of the well was 104℃.
