Little Teresa Catholic Church is a Roman architectural style, with a spacious building corridor, a circular dome above the altar, and semicircular windows and arches. The hall is beautifully decorated, and special signs such as columns, floor tiles and lampshades are marked with rose patterns in memory of little Teresa. During the Cultural Revolution, it was occupied by Qunyi Wireless Power Plant, which divided the church into three floors. There are more than 300 Catholics in Jing 'an District.
Shanghai Buddhist jushilin
Located at 4 18 Changde Road, it is the place where Buddhist lay people hold religious activities. Founded in 1908, the forest site is in Sikkim office (now Haining Road). Later, it moved to Hatong Road (now Tongren Road), and after merging with other lay people's organizations on 1956, it moved to this address-Jue Yuan. Jue Yuan, formerly known as Nanyuan, was built in 19 10. It is the private garden of Jane and Jane Yujie, founders of Nanyang Brothers Tobacco Company and national capitalists. Yuanming lecture hall
Located at No.434 Yan 'an West Road, it is one of the national key Buddhist temples in Han areas. Founded in the autumn of 1935 by Master Yuan Ying, a contemporary patriotic monk. Its name takes the meaning of the highest theory of Buddhism, that is, "the circle is everywhere and the dharma world is bright"; Second, take the ranking of Buddhists and the first sentence of Yuan Ying and disciple Ming Yun. The old building where Master Yuan Ying Memorial Hall is located was donated by disciple Gu Liancheng and his wife. Jing'an Temple
Jing 'an Temple was built in the 10th year of Chiwu in the Three Kingdoms Wu Dong (AD 247). It was originally named Hudu Chongxuan (Yuan) Temple. The temple site is located on Wusong River (now Suzhou River). In the Tang Dynasty, it was renamed Yongtai Temple, and in the first year of the Song Dynasty (AD 1008), it was named Jing 'an Temple. In the ninth year of Jiading in Song Dynasty (AD 12 16), the temple site was close to the river bank, and the temple foundation was in danger of toppling, so it was moved to the riverside of Lupu Boiling Well, which is now the temple site.
Historically, Jing 'an Temple was repeatedly abandoned. 1946, presided over Dawu to build Asoka stone building in India, dredge spring water and renovate the whole temple. After liberation, the Municipal People's Government listed Jing 'an Temple as a municipal cultural relics protection unit, and allocated more than 20,000 yuan to repair it with 195 1 and 1954. 1953, the host Akamatsu resurrected the only tantric altar in China that has been lost for a long time since the Tang Dynasty. 1983, the State Council identified Jing' an Temple as one of the national key Buddhist temples in Han areas. 1984, the Jing' an Temple Restoration Committee was established, and the people's government allocated a special fund of 300,000 yuan to restore Jing' an Temple. It is estimated that by 2007, Jing 'an Temple will be rebuilt for the fourth time after the founding of the People's Republic of China. In the long historical process, Jing 'an Temple has handed down a large number of precious cultural relics and historical legends, among which the most famous are "Eight Scenes of Jing 'an", namely: Chiwu Monument, Chen, Shrimp Pond, Jiangjingtai, Tiger Belly Base, Yongquan (the sixth spring in the world), Luzidu and Cave. Up to now, the temple has a collection of calligraphy and painting of famous people in the past dynasties, a monument to the inscription of Yunnan and Han dynasties, and the base site of Hongwu Dazhong Crane Song in the Ming Dynasty.
The current abbot, Master Huiming, is the fifth abbot after Wu De, Ganquan, Duhuan and Zhenchan after the founding of New China.
