Introduction to flea songs

Song of Flea is a famous satirical song written by Russian composer Musorgskiy in the autumn of 1879. The lyrics are selected from the fifth scene of the first part of the poetic drama Faust by the German poet Goethe, and the poem Flea sung by the devil Mephisto fellers and a group of friends. Before him, Beethoven, Lira, Berlioz and other composers had composed music for this lyric poem, but they were all folk songs in sections. Musorgskiy wrote a universal music song, which is famous for its distinctive musical image, dramatic artistic effect and rich Russian folk song style.
