What does Xianheng mean?

"Xianheng" means prosperous business, all the best, and abundant financial resources.

The word "Xianheng" comes from Kun Gua in the Book of Changes, which means "everything is beautiful". "Xian" is an adverb, meaning "Quan, Du", "Heng" is an adjective, meaning "Smooth and accessible", and "Xian Heng" together means "Everything is smooth and accessible".

In the old society, ordinary shops took such a store name for the sake of auspiciousness.

During the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1894), during the Sino-Japanese War of 1894, Lu Xun's uncle Zhou Zhongxiang opened a small hotel in the mouth of Duchangfang, Shaoxing City, and the owner took the word "Xianheng" as the name of the store. In Kong Yiji, Storm and Tomorrow, Mr. Lu Xun took Xianheng Hotel as an important background and made it famous at home and abroad.
