Development of Linchuan in Jiangxi Province

In the fifth year of Xiande in the later Zhou Dynasty (958), Jin Xichang was established in Mushang Town and Guizheng Township of Linchuan County.

In the seventh year of Ming Dynasty, Zheng De (15 12) was located in dongxiang county, which belonged to Fuzhou Prefecture.

On March 27th, 1950, Linchuan City was merged into Linchuan County.

In June, 195 1, Chengguan Town of Linchuan County was changed to Fuzhou City of Linchuan County.

1979, Shangdundu Town was restored in Linchuan County, and Hexi Commune and Zhangshe Commune were established (Gan Gefa [1979No. 146).

On June 23, 2000, the State Council approved the abolition of Fuzhou and Linchuan counties and the establishment of Fuzhou and Linchuan counties, with the Municipal People's Government stationed in Linchuan.
