The Mental Patient in Lisbon —— Written after the He Yi Girl Incident
This Easter holiday, as an international student from a corrupt country, I joined the European tourism force without exception. For the sake of budget, my beautiful classmates and I chose the way of poor travel, and of course we will also choose some hotels with low prices but good reservation scores. The romantic nature of the little girl attracted us to a family hotel in Lisbon, which focused on lying in bed and watching the stars. After carefully reading the enthusiastic recommendation of netizens, the beautiful students immediately booked this one. But when we made a long trip from Madrid to Lisbon, we found that it seemed a little different from what we thought.
First of all, this hotel is on the top floor of an old residential building, and even the elevator is the feeling of the last century. If you bring luggage, you can only take one person at a time. This is a shared bathroom, which means whether you want to go to the bathroom or take a shower, you should leave the room and go to the public toilet at the end of the corridor to solve your appeal. The most important thing is that there is no 24-hour front desk here. There is no front desk to ask for help if there is anything in the apartment at night. However, because it was a poor tour, the little brother at the front desk who led us to stay was also very good. Although we thought it might be a little unsafe to play crazy, we still felt that this hotel was clean and tidy and didn't want to stay more.
This is the room where we lived. Really clean and tidy! But the safety factor is not as high as that of Yihe Hotel, because the key is the kind of key stick, which can be poked with wire. But these are all hindsight. I didn't think so much at that time. I put down my luggage and went to eat Belem egg tart happily! Off-topic, I personally think KFC is better than KFC except for cakes.
Well, we've finally reached the point of insanity. By the time we got back to our hotel downstairs from Torre de Belem, it was probably past 10 in the afternoon. There are four Indians and Pakistanis smoking and chatting at the door downstairs. If we want to go in, we must open the door in front of them. Because there are few people in the street, the safety awareness of beautiful students has suddenly increased. She insisted that we go to the convenience store next door first, and wait for the group to leave before entering the door. Although I felt a little troublesome, I agreed to this practice. Fortunately, we were just about to walk to the convenience store when these people went upstairs (the building where the hotel is located). So, after a few minutes, making sure that we won't meet them in the dark corridor, we also hurried upstairs.
When we checked in this afternoon, only our room was occupied, so we don't know how many people stayed in the whole hotel tonight, male or female. Beauty students are beginning to worry a little about whether those four Indian and Pakistani men live next door to us. After discussion, we decided to stay in our room that night without washing. Considering that there was a news before that two girls went to Hong Kong to play and lived in this shared bathroom, one girl was raped while taking a shower, so we made this unhygienic decision. Fortunately, we brought wet wipes.
In fact, when I locked the room door, my heart was relieved. I put on my pajamas and went to chat with my boyfriend WeChat. However, my beautiful classmate has been on high alert. Just as my phone was getting higher and higher, she told me not to hang up and look at the direction of the door, because she heard someone coming out and stopped at our door. Then we found that through that huge keyhole, we could clearly see the corridor outside! At this time, the two of us completely panicked, not afraid of 10 thousand, but afraid of one thousand. So, we quickly blocked the keyhole with paper towels and moved the table or something to block the door. Actually, I think this is really enough. However, the more beautiful students think about it, the more afraid they are. She called hostel's emergency number with Skype, saying that there was an emergency here and asked the owner to come over immediately. But a little unexpectedly, the shopkeeper didn't comfort us about the safety here, but said he would come right away and accompany us to a nearby hotel! Afterwards, we thought, maybe there was an unsafe incident in this hotel, and the boss came to change hotels with us in the middle of the night, but maybe people's service consciousness is really good!
However, in the end, we safely moved to a nearby hotel and spent the rest of the night with peace of mind. When I went to this hotel the next day to get a receipt, I realized that the four Indian and Pakistani men really lived there! Although some of our practices may be really scary, as a girl traveling abroad, safety is really the most important thing. If those four Indo-Pakistanis really want to do something, we may not be able to do anything except appear in the news and the Embassy of China the next day. Now I'm really happy to be back in England safely.
I want to tell the majority of girls that they must be vigilant when going out. If I can stay in a hotel, I must stay in a hotel (although the He Yi incident was a little slap in the face). The hotel is still safer than this small hotel! Remember, if nothing happens, your experience is talking about capital. Once something goes wrong, it will be a lifelong pain for the whole family!
