Hotel star assessors (star assessors) are subordinate to the National Tourism Administration.

The application conditions are:

As a national star assessor, under the premise of meeting the necessary conditions, it shall meet any of the following requirements.

1. On-the-job hotel manager who has served as deputy general manager and above in a four-star hotel for more than 5 years, and has good business performance during his tenure and has a certain reputation in the industry;

2. Experts and scholars who have high theoretical level in tourism colleges and have certain influence in the hotel industry;

3. Directors, deputy general managers or higher-level personnel of well-known hotel group headquarters at home and abroad who have more than 5 years experience in hotel operation and management, have a good brand reputation during their tenure and have certain influence in the industry.

Job requirements of star supervisor

Article 5 Under the organized and planned arrangement of the National Tourism Administration, star supervisors mainly make unannounced visits to star hotels or hotels applying for star ratings. Without the authorization of the National Tourism Administration, the inspection of star-rated hotels shall not be carried out at will.

Article 6 Star assessors must strictly follow the Classification and Assessment of Hotel Stars (GB/T 14308), Standard for Assessment of Star Hotels (LB/T006-2006), System of Unannounced Visits to Star Hotels and Notice on Printing and Distributing Ten Prohibitions for Evaluation of Star Hotels (Lvxing [2008])

Seventh star supervisors should submit a written inspection report and related photos (or video materials) to the National Tourism Administration within one week after the inspection. The inspection report should be clear, standardized and clear, with strong pertinence and guidance.
