The History and Culture of Chufeng Building in Danjiang

Danjiang, a tributary of the Hanjiang River, a tributary of the Yangtze River system, was named Danshui when it was Yao. It is named after the legend that Dan fish was once produced. There are also legends that Dan Zhu, the grandson of Yu, used to control water here. In memory of him, he was later called Danshui and Danjiang. Commonly known as Danhe, it was called Danshui in ancient times, also known as Danyuan, Chishui and Fenqingjiang. It is also known as Zhouhe in Shaanxi, Xijiang in Xichuan County, Henan Province, and Junshui in danjiangkou city, Hubei Province.
