Since 2003, according to the local actual situation and the work requirements of the county party committee and the county government, a group of people from the Party committee and the government have made in-depth investigations, gone deep into the masses, grasped the actual situation of the township, actively raised funds, helped farmers to buy high-quality agricultural materials such as seedlings, plastic films and flower fertilizers, and at the same time strengthened technical training, improved farmers' quality, enabled them to master skills, and fully applied them in production, and strengthened the construction of demonstration sites. A demonstration base of plastic film angelica was established in the hotel village, with 500 mu of plastic film angelica and 1000 mu of high-quality broad beans in Xinlian village; Sanyou-Dacaotan Village has established a 300-mu high-quality broad bean base, and Chenguang Village has established a plastic film angelica demonstration base. At the same time, each village establishes its own demonstration site every year. The establishment of these demonstration bases has greatly promoted the adjustment of planting structure in the township. Through the adjustment of planting structure, the masses have tasted the sweetness and gained benefits, and broad beans and medicinal materials have become the fist products of the whole town. The planting area accounts for more than 60% of the sown area in the township, and the income of the people has also increased significantly, and their lives have been improved. According to incomplete statistics, in 2005, the income of Angelica sinensis alone exceeded 1 10,000 yuan, and the income of 248 households was 5000- 1 10,000 yuan, especially in hotels and Beigou. More than 360 agricultural tricycles and motorcycles 145 were purchased. 90% of the farmers used large-scale color TVs and VCDs, and 60% of the farmers renovated their houses and became rich. In 2005, the net income of farmers in the township was 1259 yuan.
