Zili Village Watchtowers

During the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1875-1908 AD), the village was built as planned by the Huang family. The Ruishi Building in the village was built in 1923. Nanlou is located in Tengjiao Village, Chikan Town, Kaiping City, Guangdong. In 1912, the Situ family built this building to prevent thieves. During the Anti-Japanese War, seven members of the Situ Self-Defense Force stayed on the mission for eight days and nine nights to stop the Japanese army.
