Famous customs and habits in Fujian
The reason for going to Sanming, Fujian is very simple, because my colleague and good friend is from Sanming, and she just came home on May 1. My husband and I had no plans, so we bought a train ticket and went straight to Sanming with her.
At that time, my idea was that if I didn't go back with her this time, I wouldn't go to other places in Fujian except Xiamen in my life.
Moreover, Fujian is far enough away from Shanghai, so I am not worried that Shanghainese who usually travel all over Jiangsu and Zhejiang will appear in that "remote" place where even the tourism department has never been.
I hate to see too many people when traveling, which will make me particularly disappointed.
I remember going to Zhuji, Zhejiang on a weekend. My classmates and I were probably the first to arrive at the reservoir in the morning, and there were very few people. It seems that we are the only people in the whole place. This is a great feeling.
Then we took the first boat and booked a hotel in the scenic spot, but when I came out of the hotel, I found that the whole valley was full of people, speaking Shanghainese, and an endless stream of people came in by boat.
Then I was surprised to find that next to the waterfall, the steps were basically crowded with people, which seemed to be as crowded as Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. People were busy taking pictures. I put the camera at various angles and found that there were so many irrelevant people entering the camera that I had to go back to the hotel to sleep.
Okay, cut the crap. It takes about 18 hours from Shanghai to Sanming. When we arrived in Fujian, the scenery began to become charming. Trains are all around the mountains, and there are many caves and tunnels. Clear streams or beaches can attract my attention and make me excited.
Fujian is hilly, and the mountains are only a few hundred meters high, but one mountain after another has no end. The city is built on an empty land in a valley where the river flows. Of course, many open spaces were dug up by blasting mountains.
Under the influence of large-scale construction all over the country, we saw many new high-rise buildings along the way, but I still like to see those typical Fujian houses that the train passed by, which are generally wooden, with about three floors, because it is particularly humid here, and the bottom floor is uninhabited, and generally livestock are raised.
The building is very narrow, as if there is only one room on each floor, and the walls are very old wood color, which is very distinctive. In Zhejiang, you can generally see similar buildings, but they are all made of bricks, with tiles in front of them, like public toilets.
Sanming Railway Station is very small, only 2-3 kilometers away from my friend's house. We went to her house to have it repaired first, and then stayed in a hotel near her house. It seems that it is still state-run, and the price and facilities are still a little expensive. One night in 200 yuan RMB. The room was carpeted, and as soon as I walked in, I smelled a musty smell, so I quickly opened the window to ventilate.
My friend's home is not in the city center, and there are many good hotels in the city center, but why stay near her home? First of all, it is convenient to go to her house, mainly because you can go to her house for dinner every day.
I have to say that "eating" is one of the biggest gains of my trip to Sanming. Not only is there an unlimited supply of fresh loquat every day (when we went, the ripe loquat just picked from the tree was usually immature or looked terrible).
My friend's mother is an old lady who is very particular about eating. She likes to take a bus to the market town in the mountains to buy pork and some fresh mountain products (they call it "Xu" pronunciation), and then come back to cook for us. Anyway, take that pork, for example. It's not greasy at all, and it smells like pork. Usually, the pork that feels late always smells fishy. In fact, it doesn't exist here, but me and my friends.
Besides, I want to talk about the honey there. I don't know what I usually eat until I eat the honey there. The so-called honey in Guan Sheng Garden is bullshit. Because a friend's classmate works in a forest farm, she said that there was an old man in the forest farm who was a ranger. He usually keeps some bees when he has nothing to do, and then sells honey to acquaintances to earn some pocket money.
Of course, she also popularized the knowledge of honey for us by the way. She said that bees here usually fly to various hills to collect all kinds of flowers. Generally speaking, honey collected in winter is the best, because there are fewer flowers and less honey production at this time. She didn't tell us why it was good. I don't know if it's because the flowers are less, so the bees spend more time brewing, so the quality is good, and the slow work makes the fine work, hehe.
Moreover, it must be a lie to say that the so-called honey brewed by flowers on trees. Old beekeepers can only brew less than 10 bottles of honey (2L per bottle) every season, and the hills of these bees are so big that bees can't tell the varieties of flowers, so the honey sold in the market is basically honey fed by people with sugar, or even fakes directly mixed with sugar.
Now I ask my friends to bring me honey from home. The honey bought outside feels greasy like sugar, but the honey given to me by the old beekeeper can smell a sweet and fresh taste, and can be eaten directly with honey. It is delicious.
Ok, now let's talk about our trip to Sanming. I just arrived that day, so I took a rest and ate first, and then climbed the mountain next to my friend's house. There is a forestry school halfway up the mountain. This climb should be an attempt in the next few days! It is a big slope from the foot of the mountain to the school, which is convenient for the car to drive up, with an angle of about 30 degrees. When we get to the school, a small door through the school is the mountain road leading to the top of the mountain.
The mountain road is a regular cement step, but it is not wide, less than 1 meter. My friend said that nearby residents come here to climb mountains and keep fit every day. On the way, I did meet some people coming down the mountain. Looks like a local after exercise.
When we reached the top of the mountain, my husband and I were still in high spirits. My friend seems exhausted and looks a little pale. I even laughed at her.
Because she once stayed in the local forestry department in Shanshan, it was her glorious entrepreneurial history. It is said that there is no mountain road in the mountain she climbed, and sometimes she spends the night in the wild. It is said that she saved the mountain fire in those years, but these are all history. After going out from here, I haven't exercised with such intensity for many years, and I have begun to get used to it. (Of course, after this time, she began to exercise, so that I didn't even climb to the top when I was in Huashan, and she climbed to the top alone. Obviously, exercise must be persisted! )
The first day of official performance: Taoyuandong.
We got up early that day and went to the bus station in Mingshan to buy tickets to Taoyuan Cave. It turns out that there are still many people on May Day, but all the people who work in Mingshan have to go home and go back to the farther mountains. Fortunately, they don't go to scenic spots like us. The process of waiting in line for the bus is still very long, and it took about an hour to get on the bus. According to the people at the station, the bus has been opened for operation that day, but there are still many people stranded. We waited slowly at the station for the bus to return. . .
Let's talk about the city of Mingshan first. You can have a bird's eye view from the top of the mountain below. Twenty years ago, due to the development of chemical industry, Mingshan's economy was still among the best in Fujian. Later, the efficiency of state-owned enterprises was not good, and the economy failed, but the environment was still polluted. There are still many chimneys smoking black smoke, and the municipal government has moved from the old city to the new city. As we all know, the construction of second and third tier cities in China is not so good. Except for the municipal government, other places feel shabby, and Sanming is no exception.
So at first, the car still felt chaotic, mainly because there were too many houses built. After turning a few hills, the scenery began to change.
On the left side of the road is a mountain, which will pass through some villages along the way and someone will get off. On the right side of the road is a big stream. Sanming people call it a stream, but it doesn't seem narrower than Huangpu River. Along the way, a dam was stopped in a stream. It seems to be used to generate electricity, but it should have been abandoned.
It is said that expressway is being built in the upper reaches of the river (all of which are high-speed highways built in the mountains), and the construction cost should be high and the project is very difficult. So the place where expressway was built destroyed a lot of vegetation, which made me feel very sad later. ), so some rivers are very muddy. But when I saw the blue sky, the clear stream and the fresh mountain breeze blowing across my face, everything seemed so beautiful, and my mood soon became happy.
I feel like I'm going to Taoyuan Cave soon. After getting off the bus, we found a row of naked red tall rocks standing opposite the stream, which was very spectacular. A thin suspension bridge can cross the stream from this end of Taoyuan Cave to the opposite side. According to the conductor, there seems to be a lot of carved images on the opposite side, but he said that if you visit Taoyuan Cave, you shouldn't have time to go to the opposite side, which is a pity.
The most famous thing about Taoyuan Cave is her first sight. I've seen it at first sight in many places, but it's actually a mountain seam. However, my friend said, the horizon of the sky is getting narrower and narrower now. When she was a child, it was not so narrow here. Nowadays, many places need to be dug out manually to let people pass. She only showed us some hand-carved places. The narrowest place is very narrow. My husband is tall, so many places can only be crowded sideways. The mountain has been dripping, and both walls are wet. After coming out, everyone's clothes are wet and some places are dirty.
I took some photos at the top of the mountain, and I could see the opposite rock wall and muddy stream. If only the water were clear.
When I got down, I found there was another way. My friend said she didn't walk either. This is a new scenic spot developed later. We will leave again.
Because the newly developed area is virgin forest, I saw many strange numbers and dense vines along the way. The road is built on a stream, which can be said to be upstream. Some people are drifting on the stream. We were also a little coaxed to see some rubber scissors stuck to the stone. My husband asked us if we wanted to float. On second thought, we didn't bring clothes to change, but I don't regret it at all. Last time I drifted in Xiamen, I almost lost my life. I'll show you later.
Through the ancient forest path, I came to a depression, and finally I could get the sun. My friend said that people in the mountains used to build houses and live in this place. He asked why, saying that things could be planted here, with water and sun. I can't help thinking, that's all.
After walking through this depression, we began to climb a very steep mountain rock wall. This road is built in the gap between several large natural rock mountains, and it seems that only one person can pass through it. When we went up, we saw a young father in leather shoes holding a child about one year old in one hand, and we began to get angry. We think it is too dangerous. If we make a mistake, it's over. We didn't move on until we watched the father hold the child down.
It seems that there are just finished steps here, and there is still a lot of mud and no moss, probably because the sun can shine here. Climbing to the steepest place, you can only grab the railing and walk slowly down. I feel that my friends have always been above me. After finally coming down, I took a look and found that it was really steep here. We then speculated that the man holding the baby might find himself unable to get down and had to return.
When I left this sunny rock and looked far away, I found a temple on the rock wall. I can't help sighing that the ancients really knew how to fix it. How did the temple survive on the rock wall perpendicular to the ground? It's quite a toss-up just transporting materials. At least I dare not take the road without railings. It's terrible.
Further on, we saw a group of wooden stakes stuck in the stream. This seems to be the place where drifting began, so we began to return. We stayed in this scenic spot for about 6 hours. Back to the entrance of Taoyuan Cave, we waited for the bus by the roadside. After waiting for about ten minutes, the bus came. At this time, the sun has set and the mountains in the distance have been dyed red. We are all exhausted. We slept all the way to our friend's house, got off and climbed to her house for dinner.
The intensity of the first day may be too great. My husband and I both feel stiff calves and sore feet. When we got back, we went to a pedicure center next to the hotel to do a leg and foot spa, and then we began to feel refreshed again.
The next day's itinerary: Zhongshan, Shibuya Village and Fanti.
I am very interested in catching Xu because of my friends' efforts to render it. It's just that a friend recommended that there is a market in Zhongshan Chaiquan Village, and we can just go and see the original village (this stockade).
Early in the morning, my friend's classmate came over with a big belly (it's been 7 months, very big) and said that she drove us there. We're really scared. Say you don't want to go, we can go by ourselves. She boldly said, it's nothing. Pregnant women should exercise more. Where did she go this time? Today it's a piece of cake, so we are on our way.
My friend and classmate drive an SUV, my husband sits in the front row, and I sit in the back row with my friend and a child. Said that the child was more interesting. The child is in junior high school this year and is the child of a pregnant mother's colleague. Today, he took it out to play. He is very handsome and has a low voice. We are halfway there, and the pregnant mother is going to WC. She also explained to us that pregnant women are more troublesome and will go to WC more often. Then we saw the child go with her. My husband and I exclaimed that we both went to the ladies' room. My friend smiled and said that she was a little girl. She made a mistake when she saw it yesterday. It was definitely a visual deception. After the children came back, we laughed and teased a few words all the way and drove into the mountains.
The first section of the road leading to Zhongshan Chaiquan Village is the same as the road leading to Taoyuan Cave. On the road, there will be a bridge across the big stream, then turn right and cross the bridge to reach another road in the mountains. On that mountain road, we saw some small earth buildings in Fujian hidden in the Woods far from the roadside, and took some photos in the car. After nine to eighteen, the road suddenly became uneven. There were more trucks for engineering work and dust began to fly all over the sky. After driving for a while, I found that the road was gone. We came to a big construction site, where an elevated road is being built, which seems to be a expressway. The nearby mountains are in a mess. Many of them seem to have been dug up or blown up, and the vegetation was destroyed. My friend said sadly that the vegetation here is virgin forest, and there will be some.
The key is that there is no road here, the land is directly exposed, and the car starts to shake badly. We began to worry about our pregnant mother. My friend said that you haven't been here recently. I wonder if roads are being built here. This will be very dangerous. Pregnant mother said she hasn't been here for 3 ~ 4 years, but it shouldn't matter. Just drive slowly, it won't affect the children. Having said that, she obviously became focused and nervous, and she didn't smile so much.
Finally, we drove through the road section, passed the rafters on the way, and then turned into a smaller mountain road. We saw a very quaint mountain village, which is Zhongshan Chaiquan Village.
It was already ten o'clock when we arrived, and the market had already dispersed. On the way, we can still see some vendors selling small commodities. I looked at it, and it was all very shoddy daily necessities. Pregnant mother found the middle-aged uncle, village head and tour guide in the stockade and asked him to take us around the stockade. The uncle was just about to receive a tour group, so we mixed in with the tour group and entered the stockade. The pregnant mother is resting at a villager's house in front of the stockade.
This stockade is very small. It is said that it was a famous market town in Lingnan a long time ago (I forget what dynasty it was). The narrow road inside is said to be an official road, and both sides used to be shops. I did a visual inspection. It is estimated that a horse can run a distance of about 2 meters.
We also see schools and so-called extended families here. The courtyard of this big family is obviously dilapidated at present, but the carved images of flowers, birds, fish, insects, people and animals are still very delicate after careful protection by doors and beams. The village chief told us that these things are cultural relics to be protected. Originally, it was distributed to every villager to maintain his yard, but it was too expensive to protect it, so many villagers ignored them and preferred to build a brick building on the periphery, which was more comfortable and inexpensive to live in.
There is a well in this stockade. It is said that the domestic water used by the whole stockade was solved through this well. The village chief said that he also got a bucket of water and drank a few mouthfuls. I also want to follow suit. I just want to drink my husband. He said that people here are used to drinking water. Stop drinking, or you'll have diarrhea. That's what I thought, so I changed my face. It's cool.
The village chief also told some historical stories about this stockade, which seemed to be related to the fierce men in the Three Kingdoms. What else was there in the yard? Sorry, I forgot. I remember an old sedan chair in the yard, which is said to be used to carry the bride. It's too small. It is estimated that only slender children with a height of 1.34 meters can fit in, and I will definitely not be able to sit in anyway. On second thought, people here are short, let alone the ancients. Usually when they get married, they are teenagers, so they are similar.
There is also a temple near the stockade. There is a big tree in front of the temple, which is said to be several hundred years old. It is very common in temples. As for the Buddha statue, I didn't pay attention. I saw that the floor was a little unusual, and it was paved with floor tiles. However, this floor tile looks a bit nondescript, like the one with flowers and thick short lines that was laid in the toilet when we renovated it a long time ago. I asked the village chief and said that the local rich people donated it to the temple.
After coming out of the stockade, everyone was basically hungry. The village chief wants to keep us for dinner. He thought about it, but he was still embarrassed to disturb others and wanted to go to the format pavilion for dinner, so he drove all the way to the format pavilion quickly.
Why does Castanopsis kawakamii have such a strange name? Because the mountains here are all long trees called Castanopsis kawakamii. It is said that these trees have a long history, so they may be prehistoric plants. Moreover, this kind of tree is very tall, basically hundreds of meters, and there will be photos to prove it. Because this tree was discovered by a man named Ge, it was named Castanopsis kawakamii.
There are several restaurants at the entrance of the format bar. We went to a restaurant and found a table. We waited a long time before serving. It seems that there are too many people eating, but everyone has already gone in. We have just arrived and haven't gone in yet.
Because this scenic spot belongs to the jurisdiction of the forest farm where the pregnant mother is located, we went in without tickets. Pregnant mother insisted on going up with us, saying that it was too boring to stay below, so she could stay in the pavilion above. It is said that the pavilion used to have a get-together there when they were studying, so we went up together. It may keep a group of monkeys in a cage to attract tourists. We happened to have some bread and fed them all to the monkeys.
After arriving at the pavilion, the pregnant mother enjoyed the cool there, and we continued to climb. There is no stream on the way to climb the mountain, which makes me feel a little bored and irritable. I like places with mountains and water. But the trees here are really distinctive and tall, covering the sky. It's a little dark in the Woods and there are no tourists in the afternoon. It seems that there are only a few of us. The leaves on the ground are thick and look bleak. My friend said that the virgin forest here is like this.
I took some photos, all of which are towering old trees, and some of them are grotesque. Climbing to the top of the mountain is a tower. There is an old man collecting money under the tower. It looks like 2 yuan went up. We all went up to have a look. We can see the mountains in the distance and take some photos.
After coming down, I found that the old man also sold some medicinal materials from the mountains, which were very cheap. One of them is said to treat joint diseases. Some friends say this herb is useful. She used to have joint pain, and her mother used this herb to stew her pig's trotters, which was quite effective. It happened that my mother-in-law had been having problems with her joints, so I bought a dozen bundles to take with me. There is not much money, so it is very cheap. Later, I gave it to my mother-in-law. It was really useful, but it was terrible.
Back to the pavilion, along the way with pregnant mother, I happened to meet my friend's sister's former leader at the door, talked a few words, drank several cups of Tieguanyin kungfu tea and went back. It's getting late.
