The Combination of Commercial Function and Art in Hotel Decoration

This project is a newly-built boutique hotel in Chengdu, with the goal of creating a new hotel brand. Combined with the functions of business hotels and art galleries, the general hotel function is used as a platform for contemporary art exhibition and auction to carry out and promote business activities. Tian Yue Hotel is inspired by the abstract elements of blue sky, white clouds, mountains and the earth to create different business functions and artistic atmosphere of the hotel. The entrance lobby is covered with a white ceiling and a sky-like winding wall. The detailed blue welcome sentence above leads the guests from outside to an abstract and quiet space. The floating clouds of temporary art installations hang in the multi-functional exhibition area and interact with the guests' hearts through projection. The reception and waiting area continues to be decorated with simple white, providing a comfortable and pleasant space for guests like living room furniture. The specially customized metal relief on the back wall of the reception desk symbolizes the bird's eye view of Chengdu's future metropolis. The brown lobby bar provides support functions for business negotiations and multi-functional activities. Its tree-shaped wooden screen and flowing copper curtains provide different privacy for guests. The full-height black-and-white photo collage theme wall is composed of the works of famous local photographers, allowing guests to savor the rich life fragments of Chengdu citizens and continue the artistic experience of the hotel.
