What is light pollution?

Light pollution: The phenomenon of excessive light radiation causing adverse effects on human living and production environments, including pollution caused by visible light, infrared rays and ultraviolet rays.

①Visible light pollution. The most common form of visible light pollution is glare. Such as headlights used for night driving lighting of cars. The most harmful thing about visible light is the strong flash when nuclear weapons explode, which can damage the eyes of people within a few kilometers. The visible light part of the laser spectrum is very harmful to human eyes.

②Infrared pollution. Infrared rays are a type of thermal radiation. Strong infrared rays can cause skin damage. Infrared rays of different wavelengths can have different harmful effects on the eyes.

③Ultraviolet pollution. Ultraviolet rays mainly damage the cornea and skin of the human body. The ultraviolet rays that cause corneal damage mainly have wavelengths of 2500-3050 angstroms, of which 2880 angstroms have the strongest effect. The main damage caused by ultraviolet rays to the skin is erythema and small blisters. In severe cases, it can cause epidermal necrosis and peeling.
