What is the essential treasure of Chinese wedding room?

According to my own Chinese wedding room with my friends, it is essential to have two stools. Although I still don't know what those two stools are used for, almost every Chinese wedding room has them.

When I was a child, I slept with my grandmother because there was not enough bedding at home. At that time, my grandparents had already slept in separate rooms. At that time, there was a bench in her room. The workmanship was not fine, but there was not a nail, and it was not even painted. From the technical point of view, it should be made by repeatedly rubbing it in the grain pile (sandpaper was a very expensive thing in those days). When I saw the bench, my grandmother was already.

There is also a small stool in my mother's dowry, perhaps because my grandfather still had some savings, so when she got married, the dowry was very beautiful, and the stool was engraved with dragon and phoenix patterns. This small stool was used in my impression, and the most used one was to climb the cupboard and get the candy hanging in the attic of the room above the cupboard. This is all my memories of my mother's small stool.

when I got married, I didn't know what it was because I was married far away and didn't bring any real dowry, so I went there empty-handed and came back from working outside. Only when I arrived at my wedding room, I found that there were two small stools in it. Like my grandmother and mother, these two small stools were used to sit in front of the bed when I was tired during pregnancy, because the computer desk was obviously too high.

Although this small stool in Chinese wedding room is not a treasure, it never seems to be lacking. Although I don't know its real purpose, it has always existed, and I want to know its real meaning.
