Walking in Dongtai, a city, the poetry of a small town

? Everywhere I go, I will establish a special relationship with her, and then I will find that every place has a unique charm. Even a small town that is not a tourist hotspot has a unique scenery when you walk in.

? There are Dongtai in northern Jiangsu, called Yan in ancient times, also known as Xixi, Ninghai and Dongting. It is famous for producing salt here, because there are many fried salt pavilions, which were also called Dongting in the Song Dynasty. Dongtai is now a county-level city, selected as one of the top 100 counties (cities) with comprehensive strength in China on 20 19 and one of the 20 central cities in Jiangsu Province.

? Whether a place is important or not depends on where the big shots go. Three famous prime ministers, Yan Shu, Lv Yijian and Fan Zhongyan, worked as salt officials in Dongtai in their early years. In Xixi Ancient Street in Dongtai (an antique street built a few years ago), Yan Xi Academy was rebuilt and a "Three-phase Pavilion" was built to commemorate these three prime ministers.

? Dongtai actually has a real ancient street-Anfeng Ancient Street. It is located in Anfeng (the first famous historical and cultural town in China in northern Jiangsu), more than 20 kilometers away from Dongtai City, by the river. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Anfeng Salt Field ranked first among the "Top Ten Salt Fields in Huainan", and merchants gathered in all directions. As a result, Qili Long Street, 72 and a half temples and thousands of shops came into being. The current Anfeng Ancient Street is the southern section of the "Qili Long Street" in the past, with six or seven hundred meters long stone roads and brick roads, both sides of which are old buildings, forming the largest and best-preserved ancient residential building in northern Jiangsu.

? The most dazzling thing in the ancient street is the "Bao House" built in the 30th year of Qing Daoguang (1850). This group of Huizhou architecture was used as a bank at that time, which was very huge. There are also three rooms and eighteen rooms. Simple gray walls and tiles, heavy black painted doors and exquisite brick carvings are noble but unobtrusive.

? There are also Wu's ancestral hall, Wan's ancient house, Hao's ancient house, courtyard, former residence, Yuan's former residence and other celebrities' former residences and old houses dotted around.

? Wu's Ancestral Hall (Wu Jiaji Memorial Hall) is a famous cloth poet Wu Jiaji family ancestral temple in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. There are only a few rooms in the ancestral hall, but the layout is ingenious.

? The former residence (memorial) of the famous painter Ge is also here. Ge Lanxiang's brother Ge Gongzhen was a famous journalist in the 1920s and 1930s, and his nephew Ge Baoquan was a famous Russian literary translator.

? Anfeng Salt Division was the yamen for collecting salt tax in Qing Dynasty, but the courtyard in front of it was rebuilt by modern people. It introduces the salt-making technology and arranges the scene of salt mining and salt making, which is introduced by several salt officials, a bit like a museum.

? I don't know whether these officials are close to the people and aboveboard, but the yamen must hang the sign of "People's Hall" and "aboveboard". Is this a declaration? Of course, the declaration belongs to the oath and corruption belongs to corruption.

? At the end of the old street, the building with yellow walls and grey tiles is Dabei Temple, where Zheng Banqiao once lived for several years. There were many temples in this area at that time, but most of them disappeared. The Dabei Temple was rebuilt in the first few years.

? Anfeng existed as early as the Kaiyuan period in the Tang Dynasty. With the development of salt in the Song Dynasty, it became a world-famous saltworks in the Ming Dynasty. Today's ancient streets are far away from the hustle and bustle, and they are not as full of commercial atmosphere as other ancient towns, and they are still quiet and comfortable.

? In addition to the ancient street, Taishan Huguo Temple built in the Southern Song Dynasty and the ancient bridge in front of the temple are also old things of Dongtai, which is worth seeing. Dongtai is also the birthplace of the legend of the seven fairies in Yong Dong, where a big garden was built, because it was too hot to go in.

? Where there is water, there is poetry. Dongtai has a long coastline, vertical and horizontal river networks and flowing bridges.

? The Yellow Sea Seaside National Forest Park is another landmark building in Dongtai.

? The predecessor of the park is the forest farm. In 1960s, educated youths from Jiangsu and Shanghai planted Metasequoia glyptostroboides here, and now it has become the largest artificial ecological park in East China. In 20 16, it became a national forest park and was renamed as "Jiangsu Yellow Sea Coastal National Forest Park".

? 4500 hectares of forest has created a good ecological environment, and more than 240 species of birds and more than 30 species of mammals live leisurely in the garden. There are also three vertical and three horizontal major rivers in the park, which flow all the year round and have birds and flowers on both sides. If you want to immerse yourself in the green forest, enjoy the fragrance of trees and understand the inclusive feelings of the forest, this is a good place to go.

? Dongtai has many rivers, some of which are canals, such as Tongyu River. This artificial river, which flows through Nantong, Rugao, Hai 'an, Dongtai, Yancheng, Funing, Xiangshui, Guannan, Guanyun, Ganyu and other places, was excavated on 1959, but soon encountered the dilemma of insufficient manpower and material resources and was forced to stop work. Later, it was dug intermittently until the whole line was completed in 2002. Tongyu River has the functions of irrigation and flood control, and it is also a golden waterway for north-south traffic in Jiangsu coastal areas. ?

? Chuanchang River near Anfeng is also a canal, which is not only a flood discharge channel of Lixia River, but also an ancient salt canal. It is the cradle of salt culture in northern Jiangsu, which was formed as early as the construction of seawalls in the Tang Dynasty. Chuanchang River is 170 kilometers long, starting from Hai 'an in the south and ending in Funing in the north, which connects the 15 saltworks in this area in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, hence the name.

? Go to Dongtai, in fact, in order not to break your word. Teacher Xu from Dongtai is an old reporter and has a good relationship with this newspaper. I promised to visit him. I promised to go everywhere, but I always broke my word. I have to see everything this time. So the trip to Dongtai became the last interview in a journalist's career. After more than a month, I retired.

? I went to two high schools in Dongtai, both of which were from villages and towns. Respect the laws of education, respect students, face the whole society, base themselves on the countryside, attach importance to quality and encourage expertise ... In the extremely difficult environment of rural high school education in China, these two middle schools have opened up their own paths.

? Dongtai is also indispensable for food.

? Dried tangerine peel wine is a must in Dongtai cuisine. It is made of glutinous rice mixed with traditional Chinese medicine, brewed and stored in an urn, and named as "Chen fermented wine". Because the homonym contains dried tangerine peel, it is called "dried tangerine peel wine", and the brewing process has entered the intangible cultural heritage list.

? Dongtai watermelon is famous all over the world. At that time, this newspaper and China Trademark Society held the activity of "Essay on Geographical Indications for Middle School Students". Teacher Liang Xu organized many students to participate, and many students wrote about Dongtai watermelon, which made more middle school students know about Dongtai.

? Not far from the hotel is a river. Spring has arrived, and the park on the shore is pink and green. Listen to birds singing in the morning and accompany the sunset in the evening. The poetry of the small town lies in this ordinary scenery.

? After four days' round trip, I just met Dongtai for the first time, but the simplicity and slightly shy serenity of the ancient street, the fragrant trees by the sea, the hard exploration of the principals, the enthusiasm of the teachers and the youthful publicity of the students are all engraved in my memory and unforgettable.
