According to official website's inquiry, Nanyang Wang Fu Hotel was named after it was located in the former site of Tang Wang Mi in Ming Dynasty and adjacent to Wang Fu. At that time, Zhu Yuanzhang, the Ming emperor, named his twenty-three son Zhu as the king of Nanyang, and built the Tang Palace for him in Nanyang City.
