Luding Impression: Shining in Time

Luding is famous for Luding Bridge. I came to Luding again, but I was really moved by the red culture of this small town.

Let's talk about a red cultural restaurant: Red Room Rong, the boss is a foreigner, but because of the plot of the Red Army, he went to Luding to do catering. There are two poems engraved on the pillar at the door: Jinsha water hits the cliff, the bridge is warm, and the horizontal rail is cold.

You can try his Red Army food. A dish is called Caodi. In fact, pumpkins are finely shredded, frozen in the refrigerator and then used for cold salad. It tastes crisp and delicious and meaningful. The shredded crucian carp soup we ordered is also super delicious, fragrant and nutritious.

The restaurant is very distinctive from decoration to dishes, and the private rooms are named after Luding. Walking into such a restaurant with a red cultural theme is like crossing back to the red era in that eventful year.

There is a man who works so hard in such a small county. I was moved by the boss's feelings, and he was very enthusiastic. He also took the initiative to help me contact the explanation of Luding Bridge Memorial Hall. Thank you very much.

Passing by Luding more than ten years ago, I only wore the rented Red Army uniform in a hurry and took a photo by Luding Bridge on a white horse as a souvenir. Today, I once again came to Luding, Luding Bridge, Luding Bridge Monument and Luding Bridge Memorial Hall to form Luding Bridge Scenic Area. The Luding Bridge Memorial Hall has manual explanation, or you can scan the QR code and listen to the electronic voice explanation.

Thirteen chains carry a country. That year, 22 warriors gave their young lives and flew to Luding Bridge. Only three of them are famous and left photos. It's really touching that everyone else has become unsung heroes. Luding Bridge is103m long and 3m wide. It consists of nine chains and four chains. At the foot of the Dadu River, the river flows, and Tao Tao faces east, as if singing, always remembering that heroic history.

It takes more than ten minutes to walk from Luding Bridge to Luding Bridge Memorial Hall. The story of the Red Army's Long March is carved on the stone wall beside the road. This road of warriors is built along the river, which is really worth a visit.

The hotel we booked is near Luding Bridge, and we can see Dadu River and Luding Bridge from the window at night. The heroic Luding Bridge bears an unforgettable history and also bears witness to today's prosperity.

In Luding, we found a kind of fruit that we have never seen or eaten: Xiantao, also called Xianrenguo. In fact, it is a big cactus in the wild with red fruits on it. Everyone tasted it, and the taste was very special.

In addition, I also saw the candied apples on the yellow lawn in Luding. They are delicious and cheap, and the whole street is the wholesale point of this kind of apple. I used to think that only Yanyuan had candied apples. Eating Luding apples is crisp and sweet, and the Luding apples on the yellow lawn are dripping.

Moxi ancient town is inhabited by three ethnic groups: Han, Yi and Tibetan. Moxi means treasure land in ancient Qiang language, and there is another story about the origin of this ancient town. Moxi is an important town on the earlier Sichuan-Tibet road. It is said that a group of Han businessmen passed by here a long time ago. I don't know why, I happened to meet a Lama, who sat here quietly and asked for a place name. Lama doesn't understand Chinese, so he says Moxi is Tibetan, which means he doesn't understand. Several Han people mistakenly thought Moxi was the place name here, and since then, this important town on the ancient tea-horse road has had the name Moxi.

Nowadays, Moxi Ancient Town is becoming a household name, because it is located at the foot of Hailuogou Glacier Forest Park, and all visitors to Hailuogou need to rest in Moxi Ancient Town. Today's ancient town is already a homestay bar and restaurant, which is a dime a dozen, bustling and connected by households.

Surprisingly, there is a Catholic church in Moxi ancient town. In the 1920s, a French missionary came here and built this church. Even Han Chinese rarely set foot in this foreign land, and western culture can come all the way here to settle down.

1935, after the Red Army's Long March vanguard troops crossed the Dadu River in Anshunchang, the Red Army's supply was in a hurry, and Chairman Mao decisively decided not to go to Kangding to Luding. There are only a few boats at Anshunchang Ferry, and the main force of the Red Army with more than 20,000 people cannot cross the river quickly. Knowing that there is an iron cable bridge upstream of Anshun Field, they have the idea of flying over Luding Bridge. When the Red Army crossed Moxi, Chairman Mao stayed in Moxi Catholic Church. A meeting of eight members of the Central Military Commission was held in the Catholic Church of Moxi Town, and the resolution to seize the Luding Bridge by soldiers in two ways was decided. This is the famous Moxihui in history.

Strolling through the streets of Moxi ancient town, you can see elegant homestays, magnificent hotels, lively bars and noisy restaurants, as well as old gates with slogans and honest couplets.

You can also see sausages and bacon hanging under the window eaves. The local people who warmed up in the street used brushes to appeal to the craftsmen of history that everything was beautiful and peaceful.

On one side is Hailuogou Glacier Forest Park and Glacier Water, and on the other side is Dadu River in Tao Tao, surrounded by mountains and rivers, as well as the ancient town of Moxi. I'm more inclined to believe the meaning of moxi in Qiang language, which is a treasure trove of feng shui.
