Which province is Poyang Lake located in?

Poyang Lake is located in the north of Jiangxi Province, between Jiujiang, Nanchang and Shangrao.

Jiangxi Province, referred to as "Gan" for short, is a provincial administrative region, named after the establishment of West Road in Jiangnan by Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty, and also named after the mother river in the province as Ganjiang River. Since ancient times, Jiangxi Province has been known as "the land of drought crossing", "the land of Wutou Chuwei and Huyue Minting", and is known as "the land of righteous white cranes and rich rice". Part of Jiangxi belongs to the economic zone on the west side of the Straits, with Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China, and one of the super-large copper industrial bases in Asia.

Poyang Lake, formerly known as Peng Lize, Peng Ze, guanting lake, Yang Lan and Stan Lake, is the largest freshwater lake in China and the second largest lake in China, second only to Qinghai Lake. Poyang Lake receives water from five major rivers, such as Ganjiang River, Fuhe River, Xinjiang River, Raohe River and Hexiu River, and from Poyang Lake, Zhang Tian River and Jintong River. After storage, it flows into the Yangtze River at the mouth of the lake.
