I went to Bali in March 2009, but. . . . It's very different from what I expected. However, I learned something. Now I will seriously share my feelings about going to Bali with my friends who are going or want to go to Bali.
First of all, talk about the money that friends care about. After I went there, I found that it was very different from what many posts on the Internet said. In Bali, everyone brought more RMB, and the exchange rate was much more cost-effective than the US dollar. And nowadays, tour guides don't charge dollars. The financial crisis seems to have a great impact. Let's start with the exchange rate, 100 RMB = 160000 rupiah, 1 USD =1500 rupiah, and both USD and RMB are basically 1=6.9. Let's convert them ourselves. I suggest you change it into 200-300 dollars. Buy buy duty-free cigarettes or cosmetics at Singapore airport can be exchanged for Indonesian rupiah directly with RMB and a tour guide in Bali, and can be exchanged after use. There is also the problem of sunscreen. There seems to be no one selling SPF higher than 50 in Shanghai. You can buy it at Singapore airport, and you must buy more than 50. Otherwise, if you play with water at the seaside, you will get sunburned. Say something else.
Clothing: T-shirts and slippers are basically used, and others are basically not used. Except that it will be cold on the plane, it is recommended that friends who take the red-eye flight take their coats on the plane to avoid catching a cold.
Food: The taste of food in Bali is generally acceptable. Our team meal in Bali this time is not bad, and everything can be tasted. I offer several restaurants for my friends' reference: Jinfulou and Gao Peng. . . . I forgot all the other names. . . . . Hehe, sorry. The BBQ at Kimbaland Beach is not bad, and the seaside atmosphere is quite romantic.
Accommodation: We stayed at Ramada Hotel, an international four-star hotel, which belongs to a general hotel. Advised friends, have plenty of money, upgraded the hotel to an international 5-star hotel, with comfortable accommodation, good scenery and rich breakfast. If a single brother wants to try to see if there is a foreign love, it is recommended to choose JAL Hotel. In this hotel, groups of Japanese and Korean MM will make you see things differently.
Route: It is highly recommended to take the plane of Singapore Airlines, which is much better than that of China Eastern Airlines in terms of comfort, service and plane meals. A tour guide will pick you up when you get to the local area. If you are a friend on a self-help tour, you can take a taxi locally. The starting fee is 5,000 rupees, which is also 5,000 rupees per kilometer. There is no 3 km free jump like Shanghai, so it is still more expensive. I advise friends who can drive not to rent a car. The road in Bali is really narrow, so it's easy to meet cars coming from the opposite side when turning. And Indonesia shows that the steering wheel is on the right, so we are not used to driving.
Sightseeing: This time we are a semi-self-help tour, with two days of free activities and two days of sightseeing. The itinerary suggests that everyone go running. Nothing particularly good, but just so-so. There is a woodcarving village. It's really meaningless to suggest that you cancel it if you can. It takes 1 hour to drive. It's really not good to see shops and places where tour guides get kickbacks. There are also self-funded activities on free days, but they are not cheap, hehe. We took part in the all-day cruise of the love boat. Eighty-five yuan is the most expensive self-funded project. What do you think of attending? . . . . Generally speaking, the only fun is at sea, otherwise it is no different from the tropical storm in Shanghai. . . . . I suggest that you can choose to move freely in the hotel swimming pool, order a semi-dry vodka martini in the pub next to the swimming pool, shake it well, don't stir it, haha, let's go back to 007.
This is all I can think of at present.
By the way, I forgot one thing. Many posts said that there is a SHOPPINGMALL in kuta beach, Bali, which is cheaper than DFS. That's nonsense. It's not cheap at all, it's more expensive than domestic ones. In addition to POLO t-shirts, many stores buy 3 pieces at a 50% discount, which is much cheaper. It is recommended that everyone use Indonesian rupiah, but some shops accept US dollars, but it is very troublesome to exchange them, and some places don't give change. Don't go to the polo shop where the guide takes you. It's cheaper than the store, but the fabric is definitely not as good as the genuine store.
