Different scenery, different mood (Western trip to the United States)

Part Three of the Journey to the West

On the morning of June 15, 2019, we rested at the Moran RV Campground. The two gentlemen caught up on their sleep, and Zou Sifang and I prepared for the next few days. Stock up on supplies and do laundry in the laundry room, which is cheap at $1.75 for a bucket of clothes and $1.25 for drying.

After lunch, go to Wyoming’s Grand Deaton Park, which is most famous for its snow-capped mountains and lakes. We visited the Jenny Lake Scenic Area in Grand Deaton Park from 1:30 to 3:30 in the afternoon. The crystal clear lake water touches the snow-capped mountains under the sun, and the white clouds in the blue sky seem to have connected the snow-capped mountains, making it difficult for you to tell which is the cloud and which is the snow-capped mountain top. There are many people visiting this scenic spot and they are very friendly to each other. The staff stick to their posts in the sun and seem to be explaining something to the tourists. We see many young American couples playing with their children by themselves, some with three or four children, even holding the younger ones in their arms.

At 4 o'clock in the afternoon we arrived at the Mormon wedding church under the snow-capped mountains. The church has a history of about 200 years. There is a peaceful atmosphere here. Unknown wildflowers are blooming quietly on the lawn of the square. The green leaves are blowing slightly. The faint fragrance of flowers and plants is refreshing. There are relatively few people here. When they enter the church, they also speak in low voices. No one speaks loudly. Noisy.

Today is the earliest day to return to Moran Camp. After dinner, everyone was busy with their mobile phones, reading news or looking at photos. The beautiful day ended quietly like this.

Part 4 of Journey to the West

On Sunday, June 16, 2019, there was a faint scent of grass in the air at the campground in the early morning, and there were almost no clouds in the blue sky, only a few clouds in the distance. There are a few white clouds floating quietly in the blue sky. The campground is very quiet. No matter it is morning or night, vehicles are very careful when entering and exiting. We have stayed at Moran Campground in Grand Deton, Wyoming for three days, and we help each other. Let you feel the friendliness between people.

Today is Father's Day, and the two gentlemen said they wanted to celebrate them. It happened that they were going to the town of Jackson today to improve their diet, so it was time to celebrate them.

We arrived at the small town of Jackson, Wyoming at 9 a.m. and first went to the visitor service center. The service staff gave us a map of the town and patiently answered our questions. We walked freely in the town, and beautiful scenery was everywhere. The hotels in the town were all small wooden houses. The various wooden houses were extremely quiet under the green hills. The Antler Hotel is a courtyard-style hotel. Walking into the hotel is like walking into a hotel. A large garden with lush grass, a few children playing freely, a little boy fishing by the river, and a rocking chair waiting for its little princess.

Because today is Father’s Day, maybe because it is Sunday, many restaurants are closed. We found a very suitable restaurant and ordered four different meals. In the end, we could only eat two and the other two. Servings can only be packed. If you have friends coming to Jackson Town in the future, you can order less food. After dinner we returned to Camp Jackson for a lunch break. At 4:30 p.m., we walked again to the Antler Park in the town. As soon as we left the camp, dark clouds came over, and soon it started to rain, and it got heavier and heavier. We had no choice but to go to the mall to take shelter from the rain. The rain stopped in about half an hour, and the sun smiled and said sorry to us again. But just after the sun shone for a while, the rain came again, so we could only go to eat and hide from the rain, and return to the camp to rest as soon as the rain stopped.
