Hangzhou or Shenzhen?

With the change of work, the author returned to Shenzhen, a city full of enthusiasm for struggle. Prior to this, the author had worked and lived in Hangzhou for three years. Which is better, Hangzhou or Shenzhen? As an Internet office worker who has had experience in both cities, the author will compare the two cities from the aspects of work, life and children's education from his own industry for reference.

The Internet in Hangzhou is developing very well. There are giants like Ali here, which have promoted the development of the Internet industry in Hangzhou. If you are engaged in the internet industry, it is no problem to find a relatively considerable job in Hangzhou.

As far as the Internet industry is concerned, the salary level in Hangzhou is slightly lower than that in Shenzhen, which is about 10%-20%, not much lower.

There are giant enterprises in Hangzhou, but the number is too small, just a few. Most of them are small teams with 100 people or even less than 50 people. There are still some restrictions on personal development space. Of course, whether it is comfortable to work in a big company or in a small company is a matter of opinion.

The number of enterprises in Hangzhou is not the same as that in Shenzhen. In Hangzhou, there are not many companies to choose from, and you are likely to meet acquaintances when you change jobs.

The slow pace of work here in Hangzhou is related to the culture here, and the slow pace of life here. Staying here for a long time won't make people feel stressed out. The pace in Shenzhen is much faster, and the cost of living here is very high, so people are very busy and the pace is naturally fast.

Shenzhen is near the sea, with high vegetation coverage and good urban greening, which is natural, but the environment in Hangzhou is also good. The city is full of West Lake and rivers, and the environment is beautiful. Both cities are very tidy.

Shenzhen has a large population and complex units, giving people a sense of hodgepodge. Hangzhou has a much smaller population and a relatively simple composition, but the indigenous people here are very friendly and will not make people feel distant. The overall quality of Hangzhou people is relatively high.

The subway and bus in Hangzhou can't compare with Shenzhen. There are too few subways in Hangzhou, but they are also under construction in recent years. There are fewer people and fewer cars here in Hangzhou. Compared with Shenzhen, there is no congestion in Shenzhen. Both Hangzhou and Shenzhen have excellent urban planning. Some new urban areas in Hangzhou, such as Yuhang and Gongshu, have wide roads and special bike lanes (bike lanes can be used for sports cars, which is what surprised me when I first went to Hangzhou). In Hangzhou, you can consider buying a car. Whether it is going to work or going out to play, it is a good choice, which can greatly improve commuting efficiency. If it is in Shenzhen, having a car may not save much time, and even parking is still a hassle.

The consumption level in Hangzhou is not low. As far as food is concerned, small restaurants are generally at 20-30, and some are cheap, but few, such as Shaxian snacks. In Shenzhen, there are still many choices. 15 yuan can have two meats and one dish to choose from, and such shops abound. If it is a multi-person dinner, the cost is still relatively low in Hangzhou. Eating in Hangzhou is much less optional than in Shenzhen, and it belongs to the kind with relatively high entry level, unlike Shenzhen, which can accommodate more people with consumption level.

In Shenzhen, there are many options for renting a house. If you want to be closer to the company or have a better living environment, you can live in an apartment. Of course, the price is higher, 1500. If you want to save some money, the village in the city is also a good choice, at the cost of being far away from the company, and the living environment is slightly poor (not too bad, mainly because the floors are very close, which may make people feel depressed, and the decoration is ok). In Shenzhen, you can get the housing within 0/0 km from the company 1 hour, which belongs to the normal range. The situation in Hangzhou is very different from that in Shenzhen. First of all, there is no village in Hangzhou, and the houses of migrant workers are basically demolished. Therefore, Hangzhou basically rents houses. This has both advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is a good living environment. The residential areas here have special properties, and the floor spacing is also very large. There is a feeling of home. The disadvantage is that the price is not low. Few houses in Hangzhou rent less than 1 0,000 per month. You know, in the villages in Shenzhen, there are still many houses whose rents are below 1000 per month. Hangzhou virtually drove away some people at the bottom.

By the way, one more thing, you can rent a house near the company in Hangzhou, which is close enough to walk to and from work, and the price is actually similar. 1000-2000, Shenzhen's proximity to the company may not be so cheap.

If you want to buy a house in Hangzhou, you can still consider it. Hangzhou is in the range of 2W-4W. It is not recommended to buy it here in Shenzhen. Personally, I think Shenzhen is suitable for work, not for life.

The shortage of educational resources in Hangzhou is much lower than that in Shenzhen. In Hangzhou, it is easy for basic practitioners to ensure children's education (as long as there is social security), from primary school to high school. There is a good talent introduction plan here in Hangzhou, that is, you don't need to settle down, you can ensure that your children have a bachelor's degree or above, and you can apply for a talent residence permit if you have a labor contract in Hangzhou. This card can be used to buy a car and shake the number, and it can also give priority to ensuring that children go to school. Of course, it is also easy to settle down, and the undergraduate course can be settled directly. In contrast, the educational resources in Shenzhen are relatively scarce, because there are too many people in Shenzhen, and many people are vying for a school place. The pressure can be imagined. In terms of children's education, Hangzhou has greater advantages.

Finally, choose Hangzhou or Shenzhen? This problem also depends on personal development. It is also a good choice to work hard in Shenzhen before the age of 35 and buy a house in Hangzhou after the age of 35.
