Mouding county tourism

Tourism resources include Foshan, the A-level virgin forest natural scenic spot in Yunnan Province, as well as Mouding Confucian Temple in the southern suburbs of the county seat, the majestic Nanshan Temple and other cultural landscape tourism resources.

Huafoshan

Moudinghua Foshan is a famous mountain in central Yunnan, a provincial-level scenic spot and a national A-level tourist area. It is a well-known Buddhist historical resort inside and outside the province. Located on the golden tourist line in western Yunnan, it is only 20 kilometers away from the intersection of Qianliangqiao on Chu Highway, more than 20 kilometers away from the county seat, and the scenic area is 30 square kilometers. It is one of the main tourist attractions in Chuxiong Prefecture.

Huafoshan has a long history of more than 400 years since the establishment of Buddhist temples in the late Ming Dynasty. There are 13 temples including Baiyunwo, Lin Tan, Baolian Temple and Ye Jia Temple. There are Jiudie Springs, Flower Seas and Cliffs, 36 species of wild animals and 98 species of birds, and the natural vegetation coverage rate reaches 99%. Wild medicinal materials 109 species. However, this scenic spot has not yet been developed and is in a primitive ecological state.

Mouding Confucian temple

Mouding Confucian Temple is located in the campus of Maoyang Middle School in Mouding County, Yunnan Province. It was built in the 26th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (AD 1547). The Confucian Temple is a palace-style arch building and the only well-preserved Ming Dynasty building in Mouding. After four renovations in history, a three-way quadrangle consisting of Dacheng Hall, Sacrificial Platform, Dongxituo, Dachengmen, Xingxingmen, Chi Pan and Chiqiao was formed. Buildings with a total area of more than 2,000 square meters, with a building area of 1 394.6 square meters. Mouding Confucian Temple was announced on 10/993117 as the fourth batch of cultural relics protection units in Yunnan Province. 20 1 1 June, was recognized as the former site of underground party activities in Zhong Ding by the Party History Research Office of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, Chuxiong Prefecture Committee and Mouding County Committee respectively.

Sanqing Pavilion

Sanqing Pavilion was built in the forty-seventh year of Wanli of Ming Dynasty (16 19). It was renovated many times in the 29th year of Kangxi and Daoguang in Qing Dynasty (1849), the 37th year of the Republic of China (1948) and 1994. So far, it seems so.

Qingfeng lake

Qingfeng Lake Scenic Area: On the road from the county seat to Huafoshan, there is a medium-sized reservoir with a storage capacity of 1 1.2 million cubic meters. As early as the first year of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty (173), the Qingfeng Gate was built, and it was repaired in the sixth and twentieth years of Guangxu. The dam is 9 meters high and holds 800,000 cubic meters of water.

Dinosaur fossil site

1978 and 1 dinosaur thigh bones were found in September at the foot of baimashan, and dinosaur leg bones, limb bones and spine bones were collected by the provincial museum in further investigation. Appraised by archaeologists, it belongs to the same type and era as Lufeng dinosaur, 70 million to 200 million years ago.

Baimashan

Baimashan Scenic Area is located in Anle Township, Mouding County, 30 kilometers away from the county seat and 8 kilometers away from the market town, with an area of about 30 square kilometers, and the main peak is 2485.4 meters above sea level. Legend has it that the white horse that Tang Priest and his disciples learned Buddhist scriptures in the West passed through this mountain and got its name. The area is famous for its mountains, forests, ancient trees, gorgeous flowers and many temples.
