Lin Baixin (1914---February 18, 2005) was born in Chaoyang, Shantou. In his early years, he went to Macao to do business, and in 1937 he went to Hong Kong to operate the garment industry. In 1947, Lixin Garment Co., Ltd. was founded, with garment manufacturing and export as its main business, and gradually expanded into markets in Africa, Europe, the United States and Canada. In 1987, he purchased 73.9 shares of Crocodile Shirt Co., Ltd. and 10 shares of Asia Television in the same year. In 1988, it purchased an additional 1/3 shares of ATV. In the same year, the real estate business was spun off and listed independently, and reorganized into two listed companies, Lixin Garment International and Lixin Development. In 1989, it acquired the largest resort hotel in the mountain resort of British Columbia, Canada.
