The History and Culture of Qidong County

Qidong County is located in the southwest of Hengyang, on the north bank of the middle reaches of Xiangjiang River. It is long and narrow from east to west, high in the north and low in the south.

Qidong calendar belongs to Qiyang, 1952 divided and ruled. It was the land of Yangyue in ancient times, belonging to Chu State in the Spring and Autumn Period, and Qiyang County in the Three Kingdoms Period.
