As far as the 5A scenic spots created by the Taihang Mountains are concerned, as far as I know, from north to south, they generally include Yesanpo, Baishi Mountain, Wutai Mountain, Linzhou Taihang Grand Canyon, Shanxi Taihang Grand Canyon, Henan Baligou, Yuntai Mountain, etc. As for attractions rated 4A and below, there are too many to list, each with its own unique scenery.

What I want to introduce to you today is the 5A-level Taihang Grand Canyon in Linzhou, Henan (the Taihang Grand Canyon in Shanxi was just upgraded to 5A in 1999).

Linzhou Taihang is located in the famous Slate Town in the canyon. 10 of the 17 administrative villages in the town have been successfully selected into the list of traditional Chinese villages. Selected into the second batch of Chinese traditional villages Chaoyang Village and Louzitou Village in 2013; China's third batch of traditional villages: Caomiao Village, Li Yuanping Village, and Nanwan Village; in June, successfully selected into the fifth batch of Chinese traditional villages: Xianmagou Village, Dongwan Village, Shibanyan Village, Xixiangping Village, Gaojiatai Village.

The Taihang Grand Canyon Scenic Area mainly includes three parts: Wangxiang Stone, Peach Blossom Valley, and Taihang Tianlu. The ticket is 120 yuan, the transportation fee is 60 yuan, and it is valid for two days.

Wangxiang Stone Scenic Area has a strategic location, beautiful scenery and excellent Feng Shui. It is said that Prime Minister Fu Yue of the Shang Dynasty, Taoist Zhao of the Ming Dynasty, Xu, Minister of War of the Qing Dynasty, and others all lived here.

Mountain climbing is the main attraction of Wangxiang Stone. Generally, when entering the scenic spot, you take the Danghun Bridge on the left, and then walk back along the valley on the right, forming a loop.

The dangling Soul Bridge is a steel cable suspension bridge. The bridge is 50 meters long and 2 meters wide. Although the bridge deck is not high, people can wander on it and the timid ones can wander around, so it is named Huanghun Bridge.

After leaving the Danghun Bridge, there is a steep climb. Although it is not high, it is very steep, and the duel is where you are weak in physical strength. When you reach the cliff, you will find a zigzag plank road. Comrades who are afraid of heights can really experience a thrilling feeling. There is a sightseeing and resting platform on the plank road, where you can enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of the Taihang Grand Canyon from a height.

Afterwards, it will pass through a virgin forest. The vegetation here is dense and connected by vines. Walking in in summer, it's refreshing and comfortable.

There is a large waterfall in front, flying down from the high cliff and falling into the mist. There is a pool of clear waves below the waterfall, crystal clear to the bottom. On a huge stone next to it, an unknown tall man wrote the word "Yang Zhi". It's more appropriate to use here.

Beside the cliff on the left side of the waterfall, an 88-meter-high skyscraper tube ladder stands upright and spirals up to the second floor of the road above. Standing under the ladder, it looks like you have entered the clouds. When I climbed for the first time, when I reached the middle, I was so scared that my legs became weak and I was in a dilemma. Finally, I had no choice but to bite the bullet and climb up.

After boarding the pipe ladder, there is a path in the gap of the cliff. Because the gap in the cliff is so low, people have to bend down to pass. It is commonly known locally as "Xiaozi Cliff". There is a high-altitude sling in front of it. You can reach the opposite cliff from a flight zipline several hundred meters high.

Surprisingly, there are two pavilions on the cliff opposite, which are said to be places where Taoist priests learn to practice. Except for its small size, it feels like a hanging temple.

After exiting the plank road, if you still have the energy, you can continue to climb the steep and narrow steps to reach the Taihang Mountain Highway directly. You can also drop by and visit Taohua Valley. Peach Blossom Valley is the key landscape of Taihang Grand Canyon and is famous for its water. Huanglong Beach in Longfei Canyon is green, clear, colorful and picturesque. When you walk on the iron stairs embedded in the cliff, you will feel as if you have merged into this magical paradise.

The Peach Blossom Valley canyon is narrow and deep. There are "Two Dragons Playing with Pearls" and "Nine Waterfalls" along the way. Along the water, the scenery is beautiful, and it is not too tiring to play. It is a must-visit attraction in Taihang Grand Canyon.

Peach Blossom Valley, hence the name Peach Blossom Valley. It is said that the peach blossoms here bloom in the coldest days of September and September. There is a poem that says: "Peach blossoms bloom in the snow at the entrance of the cave, and Yantou Waterfall hangs on the clouds." From Peach Blossom Valley to Peach Blossom Cave Village, there is also a Peach Blossom Fairy Cave and a Peach Blossom Pond Waterfall, 346 meters high. If it's the flood season, it will be quite spectacular. Looking up from here, there is a suspended overpass directly above the scenic area, which is the Shanxi Tianji Mountain Scenic Area. There is a path on the south side of Taohuatan Waterfall to reach it. I wonder if it's still open.

Starting from the parking lot of Taohuadong Village, you can drive around the entire Taihang Mountain Highway. The Taihang Mountain Highway winds along the ridge of the Taihang Mountains for nearly 30 kilometers. You can enjoy the scenery of the Taihang Mountains. Several scenic spots along the way are very beautiful, and it is said that a new glass bridge was built.

By the way, there is another scenic spot called Tai Chi Iceberg in the middle of Taihang Mountain Road. If you have time, I suggest you go up and take a walk. I went there in the early years and thought it was worth a visit. If you go there, you'll get different results.

As mentioned before, Slate Town is located in the entire canyon and is a purely natural scenic spot with excellent scenery. You can enjoy more than 10 traditional villages and the pristine mountains and rivers of Taihang Mountains without paying any entrance fee. It can be said that any place is worth your time to savor. In recent years, Shibanyan Town has become a paradise for tourists, artists and photography and painting enthusiasts with its unique houses and simple folk customs.

Going south from Shibanyan, you can also go to Pingdi Village, Pingshun, Shanxi, and then up to Pingshun County, Changzhi, Shanxi, where there is a wall-mounted road.
