Songshan, the largest city on Shikoku Island.

It was raining when we arrived at Songshan. Takamatsu's four-hour drive is over. When he walked out of Songshan Station, it was completely dark outside. He fumbled for the next line with his luggage on his back. After two stops, he got off at Ishikawa Park Station. The station is small, so there is no rolling mill to check in. The staff will check one by one on the platform. Probably in the park, I got off the platform and took a particularly desolate road. In Fiona Fang, street lamps can only illuminate the gap of 10 meter. If you can't see the distance clearly, walk forward with one foot deep and one foot shallow. Occasionally a car will pass by, so you have to make way for it. My first impression of Songshan fell to a low point. I finally found a homestay, and there was nothing to eat around. I walked two blocks, bought a box lunch at a convenience store, ate it in a hurry and went to bed.

When I woke up in the morning, I found that my place was actually very close to the company. After eight o'clock, shops began to set up stalls to sell rice and cloth. If you continue to go south, you will find the commercial pedestrian street in Songshan. Commercial streets in Japan are easy to identify, and almost all cities are the same. The pedestrian street covered by huge arches has restaurants, clothes, bookstores, game halls and cinemas on both sides, just like the commercial complex in China.

Go straight along the pedestrian street, and you will reach the foot of Songshan Mountain, and the tram will roar in front of you. Many cities in Japan should have trams, even Osaka, and the tracks are embedded in the road. From a distance, they are not much different from ordinary buses, and their speed is not fast. The Yuyi Railway here is said to be the first light rail in Japan. Now there are several light rail lines in Songshan, and the trains running are similar. The most famous "young master" only goes to Daohou Hot Spring from Songshan Station every day, twice a day on weekdays and more frequently on weekends.

"Young Master" is a copy of what the train looked like on this track a hundred years ago. The carriages are all made of wood, and the name "Young Master" is named after Natsume Soseki's novel "Young Master". This novel describes what happened after an outspoken young man in Tokyo was assigned to teach in a middle school in Matsuyama, Shikoku. The young master in the novel often takes this tram to take a bath in Daohou Hot Spring. In memory of this novel, it was named "Young Master". Of course, the "young master" now is not the steam train at that time. But in order to make people feel the scene better, the "young master" will spray water vapor from the chimney.

In order to keep this retro look, "Young Master" also made many concessions. Because there is no cab at both ends of the car body, it is impossible to change lanes and turn around like the new one. Therefore, the "young master" needs to raise a jack-like device directly under the front of the car to support the whole car. Then, two workers pushed the front of the car to rotate 180 degrees, and the "young master" completed a U-turn.

Besides "Young Master", you will also see "Starbucks" here. Starbucks in Songshan is in front of Songshan Station, because it is next to the "Young Master" train museum. In order to cooperate with the museum, Starbucks here specially changed the green LOGO into black. At the same time, in order to show cooperation, a tram with "Starbucks" logo will run on the track.

It seems easy for Japan to connect the story with the real world and let people look for these clues in the corner of the city. This also makes Japanese cities, no matter where they are, a place with stories. Next to the tram, you can see Sakamoto Cloud Museum. Ryotaro Shiba's novels and Tadao Ando's design made this museum. This novel has never been imported in China. It's about the Russo-Japanese War, and the content is unknown. So, I just looked downstairs and left.

Sakamoto Cloud Museum is at the foot of the holy mountain. The height of 100 meter in China may be the height of a hill, but it is already the highest point in Songshan City, where you can look around the whole Songshan City and the most famous Songshan Tianshou Pavilion.

Four hundred years ago, Ming Kai Kato, one of the Seven Cannons of Jianyue, founded Songshan City. In the past, cities were mostly used to resist aggression. In Songshan city, you can see all kinds of secret doors and falling rocks. Climb all the way along Shiban Road to the top of the mountain. To the north of the top of the mountain is Benwan, where Tianshou Pavilion and city trees are densely covered like a maze. The three-story celestial guards that can be seen today were rebuilt at the end of the curtain after the fire in the Edo era. It is said that the former Tianwei was five stories high. As the last place to resist the enemy, there are narrow shooting studios everywhere, but it can be seen that Kato Jiaming is still a person who loves life, and some places where flowers are usually placed at home will also be set in Tianshou.

Unfortunately, shortly after the completion of Songshan City, Kato Ming Kai moved to Huijin Ruosong to increase the fief. Songshan City was known by Pu and later managed by Mazu. After the Meiji Restoration, it was managed by Tosa Francisco. After several changes of ownership, only Songshan City waited here and became the symbol of Songshan.

Although Shikoku is far away from Tokyo and Osaka in Japan now, it is not a developed area, but hundreds of years ago, there was a brilliant business here. Nanyu, south of Songshan City, has a wife and a continent rich in wood wax and silk. Coupled with the seaside and convenient freight transportation, it has created unprecedented glory here. Hundreds of years later, people replaced candles with electric lights, leaving this deserted street with its charm.

It takes only 20 minutes to drive south to Naoko-CHO. When you walk out of the station, you will see a motorcycle in the square. I don't know why in the afternoon, there are almost no pedestrians in the street, only occasional vehicles pass by. Only at the end of the street, the busiest street in Neizi Town, will you see some tourists scattered in pairs, and only the shops on both sides seem to be able to see the prosperity of the past. Most shops are closed on weekends, and only a few businesses may not see the merchants in the shops. Most people put a bamboo tube at the door to tell you that the goods are taken at the price and the money can be kept. The unmanned shop didn't expect to be realized here.

Since my wife returned to Songshan, I can travel all over the mainland, but the focus is on the beach. JR Xiatan Station is known as the most beautiful station in Japan. In fact, there is only a small platform here. It is said that there is no manager because of its small scale. However, the station faces the sea, and its lonely back is particularly popular with the Japanese against the backdrop of the vast Seto inland sea. Therefore, a small station itself has become a network celebrity in the station. It's just that there are not many trains passing by, and most of them need to wait here for nearly an hour before they can wait for the next train. And the station is small, there are many tourists, and you can't see the feeling of loneliness. I took a quick look in the car and sat back to Songshan without getting off.

Take the first line from Songshan Station to Daohou Hot Spring. As one of the oldest hot springs in Japan, it is also a popular culture in Japan. Scenes in Natsume Soseki's novels, prototypes in Miyazaki Hayao's films, hot springs visited by the Japanese royal family and many other factors combine to make it the most prosperous area in Songshan at night. Daohou Hot Spring was built in 1894. This ancient museum consists of seven different buildings, most of which have been restored. It is said that the earthquake in the 1940s almost cut off the water here, and then a deeper well was dug before the hot springs returned to the earth. It is said that the residents who invested in the construction in that year can receive lifelong use vouchers for their descendants. However, local people seldom go to this museum now, but all go to the surrounding branches, and this museum is reserved for tourists who move constantly every day.
