Northeast Trip 35: What is it like deep in the Daxinganling Mountains? Take the train from Genhe to Jiagedaqi and enjoy the scenery all the way

My Travels, My Experiences, My Feelings

Daxinganling is the watershed between the Inner Mongolia Plateau and the Songliao Plain. It is the best-preserved primeval forest with the largest area in China; it is an important area in Northeast my country. It is an ecological barrier and national forest conservation area; it is the watershed between the Heilongjiang, Liaohe, Songhua River and Nenjiang water systems on the east side of the Greater Khingan Range and the Ergun River and its tributaries on the northwest side. The terrain of the whole area is shallow hills and hills.

For me, the magic of Daxinganling lies in its endless virgin forest, which makes me like the feeling of being wrapped in the forest. This complex started in high school. After graduating from high school, I was admitted to the Forestry College, but my career after graduation had nothing to do with forests.

I planned this trip to walk and see as many forest trees as possible. I chose to go from Genhe to Jiagedaqi. This trip happened to be deep in the hinterland of the northern section of the Daxingan Mountains, and it was also my choice. It was the first time I took a train into the depths of the Greater Khingan Mountains, and I was eager to see the forests, rivers and villages in the hinterland and the people there.

I first took a bus from Ergun City to Genhe City. It kept raining on the way. When I arrived at Genhe Bus Terminal, it was still raining. Genhe felt very cold in late August, and the hotel's heating started to warm up.

Genhe City is a county-level city in Hulunbuir City. It is a homophone of the Mongolian "Gegen Gol", which means "clear and transparent river". It is located on the western slope of the northern section of the Daxingan Mountains and is the coldest in China. The city is known as the "cold pole of China".

I stayed in Genhe for nearly a day, and it rained intermittently. I wanted to go to Genheyuan Wetland Park to see it, but unfortunately the weather was not good, so I decided to leave by train.

Buildings on both sides of the street

The streets in Genhe City are very wide, there are no high-rise buildings, and there are very few people on the streets.

Genhe Station is a third-class station that can lead to Qiqihar, Manzhouli, Hailar, Yakeshi, Mangui, Mordaoga and other places.

I encountered an interesting thing at Genhe Railway Station. Tickets are not sold here at noon. I close the door and take a rest for an hour. This may be related to the fact that there are few cars, few passengers, and few staff at the station. I arrived at Genhe Station at 11:30 in the morning, which was a good time. After entering, it was closed and no one was allowed in.

Although Genhe is a small station, there are not many passengers. Passengers arrive one after another at around two o'clock in the afternoon. The waiting room is full, mostly locals, and tourists account for one third

The train I took was at 3:10, and the train left Genhe Station on time. I saw the tall cold pole sign again, and the sky was getting clearer

Soon after the train left Genhe City, it entered the mountains. The dense forests undulated with the mountains. The train first traveled south for a while to Itu. Just drive east from Lihe Station, accompanying S301 all the way.

Maybe it's a flash while sitting on the train Or maybe the trees are too dense, and the birch or pine trees look so slender

Sometimes villages flash through the depths of the forest, looking quiet and peaceful

There are many train stops in Daxinganling. I took the k7094 and stopped at many small stations along the way. These small stations are basically built around forest farms. In villages or towns, sometimes the train stops at the roadside, and passengers wait by the tracks. After the train stops, they get on the bus and buy tickets, just like the buses that travel in the mainland. Some forest farm employees get on and off.

After passing the villages and towns, there are still dense mountain forests

The train passes through Karaqi and Kubu Chun, Yin'a, Keyihe and Ganhe stations. After passing Ganhe station, the train turns to the southeast and follows Ganhe. There were a lot of people boarding and alighting at Sotuhan Station, and those who boarded and alighted had to cross the tracks. There were staff guiding passengers in and out of the station.

The train passed through Jiwen and Busuli stations before arriving at Alihe Station.

The purpose of this regular and elegant building is unknown

Alihe Station is located in Alihe Town, Oroqen Autonomous Banner, Hulunbuir City. When the train arrived at Alihe Station, it was completely dark and the station lights were on. It is still about 40 kilometers away from Jiagadaqi.

The train was moving forward in the night, and the Daxinganling Mountains could no longer be seen clearly outside the window. It happened that a young man in his thirties came across from me, and we started chatting. He is from Alihe and works in Suzhou. He was emotionally frustrated in the past few years and has not been home for eight consecutive years. When it comes to love and marriage, he is still confused.

Forty minutes later, Jagadaqi arrived and told the young man not to get out of the car. I sincerely hope that the young men who have walked out of Daxinganling can cheer up, revive their spirits, bravely face the setbacks in life, and gain happiness [rose][rose][心][心].
