Chuzhou, called Chuzhou for short, was called Tuzhong, Liu Qing and Xinchang in ancient times. It is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province and the central city of the Yangtze River Delta, located in the easternmost part of Anhui Province. Nanjing in the east, Hefei in the west, Huaihe River in the north and Yangtze River in the south. It is located in the hilly area between the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and Jianghuai, with a humid monsoon climate in the north subtropical zone, with a total area of 13433 square kilometers.

Chuzhou, named after the Chuhe River, is 50km from Hefei1/KLOC-0 in the west and 50 km from Nanjing in the east. They are the central cities of Nanjing metropolitan area and Hefei economic circle respectively. Chuzhou is an important transportation hub in East China. Beijing-shanghai railway, Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway and Shanghai-Han Rong high-speed railway have stations in China, and 1 1 expressway, five national highways and several provincial highways crisscross.

Natural environment in Chuzhou city

Chuzhou city spans the Yangtze River and Huaihe River, mainly in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River plain and Jianghuai hilly areas. Chuzhou, Lai 'an, Quanjiao and Tianchang belong to the Yangtze River Basin, while mingguang city and Dingyuan belong to the Huaihe River Basin. The landform of the whole city can be roughly divided into three types of river basins: hilly area, hilly area and plain area.

Chuzhou belongs to the north subtropical humid monsoon climate, with four distinct seasons, warm and humid. Climate characteristics can be summarized as wet and cold in winter, changeable in spring, hot and rainy in summer and refreshing in autumn.
