Xishuangbanna Travel Guide

Let me share my travel guide to Xishuangbanna last year.

In fact, after we unanimously decided to go to Xishuangbanna, we booked our air tickets the next day. Since there were no direct flights to Xishuangbanna, we had to transfer from Kunming and then fly to Jinghong, which is Xishuangbanna. .

To be honest, this process was quite tiring because I had to transfer and carry quite heavy luggage around, and I was also a little airsick. It can be said that I was basically in no mood after that. After admiring it, the three friends took a taxi directly to the hotel they had booked before.

We stayed at the Dai Inn in Xishuangbanna, and I have to say, it was really beautiful! The house is a wooden house, and the floor is also wooden and very smooth. Because it is summer, when you step on it with bare feet, it is cool and very comfortable! Moreover, the whole room is very breathable and well-lit, making it neither too dark nor too bright!

The decoration inside is also very characteristic of the Dai people. What impressed me most was the peacock feathers used for decoration on the wall. It was made into the shape of a large fan and hung on the wall, which was lifelike. , it feels like the peacock is right in front of you! Open the curtains and look out the window. The scenery is also very good, with blue sky, white clouds, flowers, plants and trees.

Although they are all palm trees and coconut trees, it just makes people feel relaxed and happy! We arrived at the inn at six or seven o'clock. Because the journey was quite busy, I was a little airsick. In addition, we sat in the car for more than an hour on the way here. After arriving at the inn, I was still a little confused.

I still felt a little nauseous in my stomach and couldn’t even eat dinner, so I didn’t go out for a walk with my friends in the evening and stayed alone in the inn to rest. I have to say, it’s a pity to think about it now. A great night was wasted like this!

The next day, we first took the bus to the Tropical Botanical Garden. To be honest, I have only been to zoos before, and I have never been to any botanical gardens, so I was looking forward to it! After I went there, I discovered that there were really all kinds of different plants inside, such as water lilies, palm trees, dancing grass and so on.

I was quite interested in watching it at first. After all, I had never seen many plants, but it didn’t take long before I felt bored. Sure enough, this is more suitable for knowledgeable people to appreciate, like me. For laymen, it really just feels novel. Once the novelty wears off, they lose interest. Because the entire botanical garden is quite big, I only visited the botanical garden the whole morning!

In the afternoon we went to Wangtianshu Scenic Area again. The only special thing here is the "air corridor" on the tree! The "corridor" is built on a tree more than 30 meters high, and it is transparent under the feet. It is extremely narrow. For someone like me who is super afraid of heights, it is absolutely a hellish existence!

The third place I went to was Wild Elephant Valley. I had never seen an elephant before. I had only seen pictures on TV or in books. It wasn’t until I actually saw a living animal that I really felt how big it was. The elephant was really tall and big, and I was so scared that I didn’t even dare to get close! But I was really happy. It was the first time I saw a real elephant, so I couldn’t help but take a few more photos!

And we also saw the elephant performance of wild elephants. The scene was super spectacular and it was very enjoyable to watch! Because there was water splashing in Olive Dam at 4:30, the fourth place we went to was the Olive Dam Dai Garden. We hurried and hurried slowly, just in time. Although we were thoroughly splashed inside and out, it felt so good!

It feels like all the worries have been thrown away, but the troublesome thing is that we still have to change clothes. Fortunately, we had anticipated it and prepared clothes to change, otherwise we would really "can't leave even if we want to". Got it!
