What is Jinan Business College?

Jinan Business School is the Business School of Jinan University. It was founded on December 29, 2015. It is located at No. 13 Shungeng Road, Jinan City, East Campus of Jinan University. It is composed of the former School of Management, School of Economics, and Hotel Management of Jinan University. The colleges were merged and became the youngest college and the largest college of Jinan University.

The business school disciplines were founded in 1965. Its predecessors were the former Department of Industrial Management Engineering of Shandong Building Materials College, the former Department of Economics and Management and the Department of Food and Shandong Cuisine of Jinan United University, the former Shandong Materials School and the former Shandong Civil Affairs School. In October 2001, the School of Management of Jinan University was established, and in May 2003, the School of Economics of Jinan University was established.

The School of Tourism of Jinan University was established in 2004. In December 2009, the School of Tourism was renamed the School of Hotel Management. In December 2015, the school abolished the School of Management, School of Economics and School of Hotel Management, and merged to establish the School of Business.

The Business School currently has the Department of Economics, the Department of International Trade, the Department of Finance, the Department of Accounting, the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Management Science and Engineering, the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, and the Department of Food Science and Nutrition; it has Shandong Provincial Urban Development Research Base, Globalization and Transnational Business Research Base, Shandong Food Culture Industry Development Research Base.

Four provincial-level humanities and social science research bases, including the Shandong Province Regional Soft Power and Regional Development Soft Science Research Base, and the provincial-level collaborative innovation center for capital market innovation and development. Shandong World Economics Association, Shandong Applied Statistics Association, Shandong Food Culture Industry Development Research Base, China Confucian Cuisine Development Research Base and Shandong Shandong Cuisine Research Association are affiliated to the business school.
