Red Star Shines on China (9) Luobu Village, Xinjiang

From Kuqa at the end of Dooku Highway to expressway, more than 300 kilometers along the way to Korla in southern Xinjiang. This time, local friends have arranged accommodation for us. After dinner, we had a night's rest in the hotel. The next morning, led by friends, we drove to Luobu Village, Yuli County, 90 kilometers away.

Luobu Village is located about 30 kilometers southwest of Yuli County, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture. The Luobu people are considered as a branch of the Uygur people. Because they live in Lop Nur, they are called Luobu people. They make a living by fishing for fish and crops in desert lakes and oceans. There are primitive Rob tribes here, and the last few Rob people live there. There are deserts, camels, ancient Populus euphratica forests, lakes and Tarim River. It has primitive natural scenery and is a national 4A scenic spot.

In the primitive desert, there is such a lake called Goddess Lake. The name comes from a beautiful love legend. This lake meets the famous Tarim River. Not far away, you can see the wooden bridge of Tarim River, and you can cross it. There are many Hu Yangshu beside the Goddess Lake.

The desert at noon is still very hot, no less than the heat in the mainland. We came to an arbor where we could have a rest and bought some drinks, watermelons and other foods nearby to have a rest. Here is a drink called kawas, which I am very interested in. It is fermented with local honey. When it is taken out of the freezer, it tastes like cold beer, but it contains no alcohol (don't worry about drunk driving). Especially refreshing. I remember I also brought two bags in the car. When I took them out for a drink on the way, they were swollen because of the hot weather. I unscrewed the nut on the package, and the drink inside poured out and sprayed me in the face like beer. I didn't drink much, but I spilled it all.

Here, we are close to the real desert, camel and Hu Yangshu with the nearest distance, and also feel the scenery of the original lake, which forms a strong visual contrast with the desert. Of course, the desert here is relatively safe. At rest, I once climbed to the top of a desert, overlooking the camel team and the seemingly endless yellow sand below.

Leaving the camel, we walked along the wooden bridge and crossed the Tarim River. The Tarim River doesn't seem as wide as it used to be. You can see both sides of the wooden bridge, and the water surface is much narrower than before. Come to the other side of the river and experience the primitive tribe in Rob Village.

Along the way, we can see many souvenirs sold by local people. We don't know much about them We also bought some things we like and spent more time wandering around the natural scenery. We're right in front of the Rob tribe.

The village of Luobu people is full of original ecological scenery. Although there are no particularly magnificent buildings, everything is natural scenery and an unforgettable journey. Local friends said that there was still time in the afternoon, and then they drove back to the suburb of Korla, and then transferred to the estuary of Bosten Lake (China West Sea) more than 80 kilometers away (actually about 0/60 kilometers away from Luobu Village/Kloc) to have a fish feast. Speaking of Bosten Lake, I remembered Dao Lang's Love Song of the West Sea, and I suddenly became interested, so we drove away together.
