How to get to Tantoushan Island?

1. From Shanghai and Hangzhou: take Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway, transfer to Ningbo-Taiwen Expressway, get off at Ninghai Exit, and then go to Shipu via Xiangshan.

From Ningbo: Take Yongtaiwen Expressway to Ninghai exit, and then go to Shipu via Xiangshan.

If you don't take the expressway, you can take a bus ferry to Xiangshan and Shipu at Hengshan Wharf in Ningbo.

Departure from Wenzhou and Taizhou: Take Yongtaiwen Expressway to Ninghai exit, and then go to Shipu via Xiangshan.

2. At present, there is no fixed flight from Shipu to Tantoushan Island, so it is necessary to rent a boat at Dongmen Wharf to Pansha Leisure Base. It is 8 kilometers away from Shipu and about 40 minutes by plane from Shipu Port. There is no special ferry to Tantou Island, so we have to call a local tool boat. Generally speaking, in 2006, the price of this kind of ship is 170-300, and it can generally carry 20 people. However, after the promulgation of the new regulations in 2007, in order to ensure the safety of personnel, each ship can be limited to eight people, and the price ranges from 300 to 400. Although the size of the boat is similar, it is recommended to choose a boat of 400.

There are three routes from Shipu to Tantoushan Island:

1. It is the most convenient choice to go ashore directly to the Pansha special wharf to be a Pansha leisure base. But when the wind and waves are heavy, you can't dock, so you can only choose other routes.

2. Go to Xiaoshatou Wharf and walk for half an hour to Pansha Leisure Base. But we can't go ashore before the high tide.

3. To Xiaogonghou Wharf, take 15 minutes on Zhongshan Road, and half an hour on the beach to Pansha Leisure Base.

The local residents on the island have basically moved out, and not many people stay on the island. Only after several years of tourism development did the island gradually regain its popularity. There are not many people on the island and there is little environmental pollution. In April and May, the climate gets warmer, which is the best time to travel to the island.
