Wu 'an, a municipality directly under the central government of Hebei Province and administered by Handan City, is located in the south of Hebei Province, at the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain, at the junction of Shanxi and Hebei provinces, in the "overlapping area" of the two national strategies of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Central Plains Economic Zone, and about 200 kilometers away from the four capital cities of Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong and Henan.
