How to guide college students to carry out career planning

Firstly, it summarizes the three stages that all sophomores have gone through after going to college:

The first stage, I am looking forward to it. During this period, students have many expectations and longings for college life, and they are full of confidence in the future.

In the second stage of confusion, students gradually began to lose their clear learning goals and didn't know what they needed;

The third stage of reconstruction, in which students begin to re-establish their learning goals, and the future development of their respective careers mainly depends on this stage.

Subsequently, in order to enable students to make correct choices about their current study life and future career planning in the reconstruction stage, Qiaogu.com Psychological Counseling put forward the following suggestions:

First, find a professional tutor and communicate with teachers in daily study and life;

Second, set a life example for yourself in the industry field you intend to engage in in in the future;

The third is to find yourself a noble person in the workplace and ask him for successful experience;

The fourth is to find a senior who can guide himself and listen to his experience and lessons; Fifth, do a professional research online before the end of this semester to increase your understanding of your major; Sixth, interview the enterprises you are interested in, so that you can understand the environment, development strategy, department setting and the types of talents you need; Seventh, visit a qualified employment counselor and ask him for career planning; Eight, form a study group with like-minded people, and cultivate their team spirit and cooperation consciousness in the study; Nine is to establish personnel files for yourself and record them among people at all levels who know after going to college; The tenth is to establish growth notes to record your career planning in different periods and your efforts for it; Eleven is to make your own choice between postgraduate entrance examination and employment before the end of this semester.

What is the secret of successful career planning? You have experienced many major turning points in your past career planning. What is the biggest gain or lesson? What is the secret of getting value promotion in years of career planning? What is the secret of our successful career planning for you?

Wu believes that in her many years of career, one of the secrets of improving her value is that she has always positioned herself as a helper.

Twenty-eight years ago, Wu was a teacher in an ordinary middle school in Hong Kong. In the seventh year of teaching English and geography in this school, she quit her teaching post and started a 2 1 year HR career. In 2005, he came to Shanghai from Hong Kong and held an important position in human resource management of Intercontinental Hotel Greater China.

It is Mr. Wu's duty to help students improve their ability. However, in the 2 1 year since she left the teaching post, she has never forgotten the role consciousness given by this professional experience. She thinks that managers treat their subordinates as teachers treat their students. If an important indicator to measure a teacher's value is to benefit students through his own teaching process, then a good manager should let his subordinates grow up through role-playing. So in the process of human resource management, she positioned herself as a helper.

help

Chief Talent Officer: How do you view yourself as a helper in your work?

Wu: This role has always been my orientation. As a human resource manager, this role has two main meanings. One is to help your own team, so that the team has motivation and improve its ability; The second is to help the company's management team to build a good management platform for them, which is more convenient for them to achieve commercial success.

A single individual can never do everything, so I will focus on how to improve the ability of the whole team. Try to give team members more opportunities to participate, and use the most appropriate methods to motivate everyone to play their strengths, which is much better than spending energy to change their own shortcomings. I will give them many challenging jobs according to their advantages and cultivate their abilities by giving them improved feedback. I will also provide them with some platforms, such as allowing them to participate in some higher-level projects, so that they can study better.

Another important point is that I will let them find their way and know what to pay attention to. After that, I will let them do it, and I won't ask them how they are doing every day. When they encounter resistance, I will focus on what kind of support I can provide, including spending a lot of time communicating with them and understanding their thoughts.

If one day they are all strong, then my role is not very important, and my presence or absence will not make a particularly big difference. If I can train my team, they can all finish their work, which actually means that I have successfully completed the task.

Chief Talent Officer: What are the main aspects of your help to the management team?

Wu: When I first came to Shanghai, there were only four people in the HR team, and now it has grown to more than 20 people. Behind this is the rapid expansion of the company. In this process, my role is also changing. For example, from the role of passive support in the past to being able to help them actively. It also includes changing from focusing on quantity accumulation in the past to providing targeted services more actively.

Chief Talent Officer: Your role was one of the few reserved roles in the high-level change of IHG Greater China last year. How did you play at that time?

Wu: I've really experienced many changes at IHG. Especially last year, the management team changed, and colleagues were basically newcomers. So, my opportunity lies in how to help them in the change. I must continue to find my focus in the middle. My opportunity at that time was to improve my role and help my boss and colleagues understand what they should do. So I feel that I have changed from a supporting role to a more leading role. From the perspective of my career, this may help me to be in a good position in this change.

Chief Talent Officer: You must have met many challenges in these changes in the company. What are your principles?

Wu: It is very difficult to do HR. When there are problems, people will feel that they should get more help from HR, but many things are beyond HR's control, so employees will be dissatisfied with HR, so sometimes the pressure on HR will be even greater. But the better thing about my personality is that I am optimistic. Because I have experienced a lot and seen a lot, I usually see both sides of things. Being HR can be empathetic, but not too emotional. You need to control yourself effectively and deal with things in a neutral way, otherwise the pressure will be great.

Become a helper

Chief Talent Officer: You have experienced many major turning points in your past career. What is your biggest gain or lesson?

Wu: You should have an open mind and some goals, but you also need to know that the actual situation may not give you a result right away. Be good at turning pressure into motivation, don't expect too much of yourself, and pay attention to maintaining the beauty of work-life balance. For example, I always keep the habit of coming home on time as soon as I get off work. I prefer to take my work home. For example, my children often do their homework when I am dealing with work, which makes us spend more time together.

Second, we must seize any opportunity, whether it is learning or working with different people. When I gave up teaching for seven years and decided to let my family come to Shanghai with me from Hong Kong, I seized this opportunity. I don't want to be in the same school from graduation to retirement. I attach great importance to the development opportunities in Chinese mainland, and I also attach great importance to giving my children the opportunity to meet people of different nationalities in Shanghai and improve their Chinese ability.

Of course, to seize the opportunity, you have to take a little risk, so you have to take risks. In addition, we should have a good circle of friends. For example, when I made these choices, my family, friends and colleagues gave me a lot of good advice. But for young people, seizing opportunities does not mean frequently changing jobs, but calming down and accumulating more experience, so as to make a more accurate judgment on themselves and opportunities.

Automated life and career planning

1, introduce yourself:

Department of electronics, automation major. Nothing in professional knowledge, erratic personality. When I am happy, I am silent. Most of the time, I am quiet and like to be alone. I like reading and reasoning, and I can look at problems from multiple levels and angles. I know a little about the future employment of this major, but I'm not very clear about it.

Before writing this plan, I made an MBTI test. The result shows that the tendency of personality type is INFJ (introverted intuition and emotional judgment), and the suitable fields are: consulting, education, scientific research, culture, art, design and so on. I think the personality test is quite accurate, but I don't know much about the suitable field. It seems that I have nothing to do with these industries.

2. Short-term planning:

After graduation, many people around me told me to cherish the good times in college, because our future work will erase our ideals and the reality will be very disappointing. So I think we should live a good life, learn as much professional knowledge as possible in our own way, dabble in all walks of life, strive to enrich our life, improve our personal quality, enhance our interpersonal skills, and lay a good foundation for what kind of work we don't know in the future.

3. Medium-term planning:

This should be within five years after my graduation. After graduating from college, I should get a job. I will continue to work hard and study hard the skills and abilities I can learn. Then improve your situation and position in the unit. What exactly is the job is still unclear. It is reported that the employment situation of college students is very severe. I think you should choose me instead of my job after graduation. I come from the countryside, not as delicate as the city people. I will do any work that can exercise my ability. I am definitely not ambitious. I believe that there is no distinction between high and low jobs. After working for a year or two, I think I have two ways out. One is to get used to the life of office workers, continue to rent a house, squeeze the bus, work from nine to five, and strive to buy a house and settle down in the city; Second, go to sea with friends, do business or open a shop. On the premise of obeying the law, what you do to make money may become a profiteer like struggling Hanako, depending on the situation at that time. Personally, I think that a person's development is caused by coincidence to a certain extent, so I will know how to go in the future. The present plan is only a prediction, a blueprint for describing the future life.

4. Long-term planning:

This long-term significance should be that after I am 30 years old, I want to reach a certain social status and a satisfactory amount of savings. I can contribute to the society by my own ability, such as subsidizing students in poor areas, doing something good for my village and so on. And then live a good life and enjoy life. At this time, I should get married and have children. I will take good care of them and do my duty to make them happy every day.

5, life goals:

Wandering when you were young, no matter how far away from home, you have lived and worked hard alone, so that you will have more beautiful memories when you are old. Then find a good job or start my own business, find a good wife, take good care of my parents, visit them often at home, do my best to repay their parenting, make more contributions to society within my ability, and make people who care about me and me happy.

Now own shortcomings and improvements:

The disadvantage is carelessness, mainly lack of self-discipline. In the future, I will pay more attention to self-improvement, get rid of some small problems in myself as soon as possible, learn to restrain myself and strive to improve my ability. I believe I can do it.
